The space

The red Balcony, Beautiful 6 rooms, freshly renovated apartment!

Perfectly located in a very nice neighbourhood, with everything at walking distance including the animated Mile end and Plateau areas.

A charming apartment on Querbes street, a minute away from Laurier street, known for its designer boutiques, restaurants and cafés.

The apartment is completely furnished. There are two bedrooms, one traditional (with queen size bed) and one open, leading to the living room (double bed). There is also a space to read/work as you come in. Dining room for 6, complete kitchen, a balcony in the front and one in the back.

The apartment has 1000sqf, 93m2. It is very bright. Ceilings are 9’-0 ‘’ high, original mouldings and wood flooring.

Washer, drier in the apartment. Bedding, towels, iron... all you need! Full kitchen with microwave, Nespresso machine and regular coffee machine. Heat and electricity, high speed internet, cable flat screen tv, etc, are included. And if ever you need anything else we live right on the first floor!

It is a non smoking environment / we accept no pets
Rent is per month / minimum 1 month stay depending on season

Idéalement situé à l'orée du centre-ville et entouré par le Plateau Mont-Royal et le Mile End, Outremont est l'un des arrondissements les plus prisés à Montréal, ce que ne manque pas de refléter le prix des propriétés.

On choisit Outremont pour son accès direct à la montagne et ses belles résidences au cachet patrimonial, mais aussi pour ses arbres, ses parcs, ses écoles et ses rues commerçantes.

« Outremont est une forêt urbaine avec la montagne au sud, les milliers d'arbres dans les rues et quelque 25 parcs dans l'arrondissement », illustre François Bissonnette, courtier immobilier et fondateur de l'agence REALTA, qui a justement pignon sur rue à Outremont.
Avec quelques-unes des meilleures écoles primaires et secondaires de l'île de Montréal, l'endroit est également attrayant pour les jeunes familles, expliquent pour leur part Éric Forgues et Alexandre Gosselin, courtiers chez Sutton. « La clientèle, une fois établie ici, ne quitte plus le quartier, avance M. Gosselin. La qualité des services et de la vie de quartier est excellente. »

Avec des prix médians au-dessus du million pour les maisons unifamiliales et de près de 500 000 $ pour les copropriétés, le marché d'Outremont se compare à celui de Mont-Royal et de Westmount. Par contre, les trois endroits n'attirent pas la même clientèle, soulignent les courtiers de chez Sutton. « À Outremont, tout se fait à pied, indique Éric Forgues. De plus, c'est l'endroit de prédilection pour les Européens qui désirent acheter une propriété. »

Un marché vigoureux

Outremont est donc un arrondissement recherché des acheteurs. « L'activité est très bonne, explique François Bissonnette. Il s'agit de l'une des meilleures performances en 2015 [pour un micromarché] avec 10 % plus de ventes que la moyenne, même dans la copropriété. »

Au sud du chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine est situé ce que les gens appellent le Haut-Outremont, là où se trouvent les grandes demeures cossues sises directement au pied de la montagne. Évidemment, les prix y sont plus élevés. Selon Alexandre Gosselin, de l'équipe Forgues-Gosselin, le style de vie de l'endroit est très différent du reste de l'arrondissement : « Plus on est au nord, plus on est proche des services, moins on a besoin de la voiture. Le style de vie dans le Haut-Outremont s'apparente plus à celui de Westmount ou de Mont-Royal. »

Mais qu'on habite dans le Haut ou le Bas-Outremont, il s'agit d'un arrondissement qui grouille de vie. « Les avenues commerçantes comme Bernard, Van Horne ou Laurier sont très recherchées et offrent une bonne vingtaine de bons restaurants, énumère François Bissonnette. Avec ses très nombreux parcs, ses piscines extérieures, son centre communautaire, le Théâtre Outremont ou encore le Festival de Casteliers, c'est un endroit qui bouge vraiment. »

You are renting an apartment that was cleaned before your arrival, it will be again after your departure. However, we ask that, as much as possible, you leave the place as you found it.

+ Remove and place used sheets on beds
+ Leave used towels in the bath tub
+ Empty the refrigerator and pantry of perishable food
+ The oven, fridge and microwave must be clean
+ Empty the bins (always put garbage bags in the metal bin, lots of squirrels and raccoons in the neighbourhood!)

It is forbidden to smoke inside the apartment or on the balconies.
Pets are not allowed

Garbage is picked up in the alley, Monday and Thursday morning (don’t put it in advance)
Recycling is picked up Wednesday morning in the front.


Please don’t forget to lock the doors at night and when going out.

+ Enlever et déposer les draps utilisés sur les lits
+ Déposer les serviettes utilisés dans le bain
+ Vider le réfrigérateur et le garde-manger de tout aliment entamé et/ou périssable
+ Nettoyer le four, le frigo et le micro-ondes
+ Vider les poubelles (toujours mettre les sacs dans la poubelle de métal , il y a beaucoup d’écureuils et de ratons laveurs dans le quartier!)

Il n’est pas permit de fumer à l’intérieur de l’appartement ni sur les balcons.
Les animaux sont interdits.

Les poubelles sont ramassée les lundi et jeudi matin, dans la ruelle. (ne pas les mettre à l’avance)
Le recyclage est ramassé le mercredi matin, à l’avant.

N’oubliez pas de verrouiller les portes la nuit et lors de vos déplacements.

Melanie gave us a tour of the place upon arriving. She showed us everything we would need, including a book she had put together of neighborhood restaurants, grocery stores, things to do, etc. It was very helpful! The listing and photos were accurate. The place and the neighborhood were both pretty, clean, and quiet. There were so many great restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby.

The perfect place! The location is amazing in one of the best neighbourhoods in Montreal, quiet but still close to everything. Also, a very family friendly area. The apartment is beautiful, well furnished and great decor. We really felt at home. Melanie and Guy were the perfect hosts, always accessible for whatever we needed. Truly great people. I would recommend this place to anyone! We would definitely stay there again.

Very nice place. Melanie and Guy were quite helpful and available just downstairs if needed. The apartment was clean, sunny, and had everything we could possibly need. The neighborhood was quiet but just a short walk to restaurants, bars, a grocery, and shopping. I would highly recommend renting from Melanie and Guy!

Clean bright and well equipped flat located close to shopping and restaurants but on a quiet street. We were delighted with our stay. Hosts were very helpful, As mentioned in their ad,.steep staircase may make it challenging for anybody with mobility restriction. We will definitely be back and would recommend the place to our friends. Thank you
