This house and the hosts are winderful for an Austin stay. Clean, neat, comfortable, and well designed, and convenient to walk to all the shops and restaurants on South Congress. The hosts made special efforts to orient us to the house and checked in by text during our stay to see that all was going well. If there was a rating of perfect I would gladly give that to the Rusty Box.
Beautiful, comfortable home on a great, walkable neighborhood. Becca was a wonderful host, very hospitable yet respectful of privacy. Though the Rusty Box is not inexpensive, I would recommend it to anyone who can afford it and wants to stay in SoCo.
We had a fabulous time staying at the Rusty Box house. Becca is very accommodating and worked with our schedule for our stay. The house is in a great location and was perfect for our needs.
The house is great and perfectly fit in the SOCO neighborhood. I would greatly recommend it. Everything was smooth and fine.
What a super stay! We stayed at the "Rusty Box" as the house is called for the duration of SXSW Interactive with my colleague. It's a big house for a 2-bedroom one, with both bedrooms affording privacy for the guests. We also hosted colleagues over for a backyard barbecue on the beautiful terrace. The location in lively South Congress is perfect, with a bike ride to downtown taking less than ten minutes. There is great cafe right around the corner, plus more shops and restaurants just down Congress. The interior design is impeccable and the whole building has tons of character and sophistication. Add to that very friendly hosts and a problem-free stay, and it's an Airbnb I can recommend without hesitation.
Married couple in their 40s. Steven grew up in Austin and Becca in Philadelphia. Our house was designed by Steven's best friend from growing up and has been on several architectural tours. We love to travel and explore new places and would love to share our home for folks to explore Austin.
