We stayed in the apartment for 4 days during the ATP Rome tennis tournament. Foro Italico is a 15 min walk. The apartment was very nice and we had a fantastic holiday in Rome. One day we took the bikes (provided by landlord) and had a trip to Central Rome (Villa Borghese, Piazza del Popolo, Trevi fountain etc.). All other days we spent in the neighbourhood which is very nice - several groceries shops, local market, nice restaurants - very few tourists.
The host Andrea was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is light and spacious. We had the breakfast on the balcony every morning.
I would definitely recommend anyone to stay in this apartment and I know exactly were I will stay next time I am in Rome. No matter business or leisure.
The Rome apartment was lovely- stylish and roomy and it was great to be able to relaxand enjoy it and the neighbourhood in between doing more tiring things in the centre. Piergiorgio's brother Andrea was charming, helpful and welcoming and I thoroughly recommend this place for a great stay in Rome
My friend and I stayed at the apartment for almost two weeks in January. Other people might have different tastes, but we agreed that the apartment made our vacation great! It is exquisite: an architect's place, filled with art and beautiful furniture, yet very comfortable, light and pleasing. Rome is fun to explore, but many mornings and evenings we felt perfectly happy just staying in, listening to music and cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. The weather was nice enough to eat on the balcony amidst potted herbs and plants. Everything worked fine; the gracious owner quickly fixed a small issue with the internet. We liked the location: a ten-minute walk to the metro and tram, with lots of buses nearby, an easy walk to the Vatican and across the river to the Piazza del Popolo. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, easily accessible, but not very touristy. There are shops and old family restaurants nearby (Re Brasserie was especially good). We highly recommend this apartment.
I have been traveling the world for the past 25 years and I have stayed in almost every type of accomodation during this time. From five star hotels to youth hostels and all in between. By far if you are going to stay for any period of time in Rome and want to use an apartment for three people please definitely consider utilizing Piergiorgio and Andrea Stipa's apartment in the Prati district. We were amazed at the size and how warm a welcome we (email hidden) on a Friday from Andrea. The apartment is close to all and is quiet with very little traffic both with cars and people. We will use this apartment again without any doubts. Our stay in Rome made 2012 a great year. Andrea, Grazie per tutto and buon capodanno.
Piergiorgio is a great host who makes all things possible.
It was more than anything available: clean apartment, friendly reception, map of the major points, garage, bikes, and even a bit of basic food for the first day.
we can only recommend it. Everything was to our complete satisfaction.
This apartment is everything you see in the pictures and so much more. In a wonderful neighborhood just north of the Vatican we were surrounded by everyday life in Rome. Supermarket is a block away and we cooked when we didn't wish to visit the many restaurants in the area. This apartment is spacious and we enjoyed our time on the terrace. We rode the bicycles provided to see all the sights so we don't have a comment on the public transportation. Unlike some of our other airbnb experiences this apartment is a home, not just a space to let. Consequently we were very soothed with all of the comforts of home (we have been on the road for 2 months) with a very positive energy. Our hosts were exceptionally thoughtful and made our stay even more delightful. We would highly recommend a long stay here.
