Room with private bath in lovely home in San Miguel de Allende, Mx., a UNESCO World Heritage Site, artist colony, full of charm, activities, and great weather.
We live in the Los Balcones neighborhood on a quiet cul de sac overlooking town less than a mile to el centro. Our home is very close to El Charco - the botantical garden.
Parking is no problem and town is an easy walk down (a hill climb back!) and accessible via taxi.
Beverly and Mike were gracious hosts. There home was beautiful with spectacular views. The house was high above the town. We had a car so it was no problem. Beverly recommends taking a cab back. The bed was incredible. After 3 weeks in Mexico sleeping on hard beds it was such a relief to not wake up feeling bruised. It is difficult to drive in San Miguel, a lot of One way streets. Mike was great at explaining how to get around.
My boyfriend and I stayed with Beverly and Mike for three days this winter. They were amazing hosts. Not only were they very helpful in recommending places to eat and things to do, but they were also happy to sit and chat with us about their own lives and experiences. They have a beautiful home perched at the top of a hill that overlooks the city. It's about a 20 minute hike to the town square, but we enjoyed the exercise! The bedroom was very comfortable and all amenities were super clean! If we ever stay in San Miguel again, Beverly and Mike would be our first call.
La ubicación de la casa de Beverly es insuperable. Beverly y su marido fueron muy atentos y agradables como hosts. El cuarto es hermoso y muy luminoso, tal cual se ve en las fotos.
Beverly and Michael has made my first airbnb experience simply unforgettable. Their house is beautiful, clean and very comfy. We spent the two days together cooking Chinese food, watching movies, and becoming good friends. Really wanted to stay longer if i could, and can't wait to come back. Would highly recommend for everyone!
Rented a room for 1 night with Beverly in San Miguel de Allende. The place is located on top of a hill that is about a 20 walk from the city center. The walk downhill to the city is easy, but getting back home uphill might require a taxi.
As far as the place itself, everything was great. The room is large and is has access to a nice, edible garden. She provided towels and internet. No issues whatsoever with my stay.
Mike and I retired to SMA from Pittsburgh, Pa. I'm a former Nurse Practitioner and Mike ran a boathouse. He is an environmental activist and water enthusiast, both for recreation and preservation down here and I'm back to my former love of dance as well as leaning about the medical and medicinal plants of the area. We both enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world and sharing some of our life down here.
