The history of Plushchikha street begins in 15th century, the street got its name from Plushchev’s tavern at the beginning of the street (now it is territory of the Golden Ring Hotel). Plushchikha street was the place of residence of such famous Russians as Leo Tolstoy, poet Afanasiy Fet, painter Vasily Surikov. The house was built in 1937 for the senior people of the Red Army. It is situated in a quite and green courtyard with the rising arm barrier, surrounded by the famous poplar trees. Moscow river bank, situated 200 m away, is an ideal place for morning jogging.
