Lovely, upstairs bedroom in 1890 home is surrounded by dogwood, redbud, maple and walnut trees. On the edge of town in SW Richmond, the property has a park-like setting with corn fields and countryside just around the corner. Approximately 1/2 mile to Earlham College; Earlham School of Religion and Bethany Theological Seminary are just under a mile away.
One of the original homes on the Pike, there are beautiful hardwood floors and 9 ft ceilings throughout. Guest bedroom is upstairs, as is the shared large bathroom with tub and shower. Guest bed is full-sized. Wifi throughout, basic cable in the front room, driveway parking, AC in the summer!
Friendly and well-traveled hosts have been transplanted here from Oregon and have a long history of welcoming guests! Guests are welcome to join us in the fireside room for after-dinner conversation.
One bed is an antique, full-size wood framed bed. The second is an airbed with a mattress pad that is optional if you need two beds, and is an additional $10 if there are only two people. Extra people cost a little more, as listed. There is plenty of room for the airbed on the floor in the Blue Chestnut room.
You may rest, enjoy the area, walk to and from Earlham, access the Cardinal Greenway Trail close-by, attend community and Earlham events. No smoking and no pets, please.
