This house is in a very convenient location for visiting the eastern parts of Kyoto. It may be a little hard to find if walking in so we took a taxi who dropped us right at the door. Lovely and clean and all the things a traveller needs - wifi, washing machine, kitchen etc. highly recommended.

Yukiko's place is very comfortable and relaxing . In a quiet area but easily accessible to amazing local temples and gion nightlife. Supermarket around the corner was very handy for general supplies and delicious ready made Japanese food that can be eaten as a dinner . The apartment was clean and well equipped with everything required for our stay . Highly recommended and we will stay again.

We had a warm and knowledgeable welcome from Saki at Kukiko's machiya. Everything went smoothly and we loved our stay. The machiya is cosy and authentic, in a quiet neighbourhood in Gion, but still only moments' walk from transport, restaurants and sights. We had an amazing experience at the Ebisu festival, stumbling into a local celebration as well as spotting geisha and meiko just moments' walk from the machiya. We'd love to return. Thank you so much Yukiko and Saki.
