ABOUT ME: I am a touring musician and excited to share my home with you as I am often out on tour. This is a musician friendly neighborhood, next door to several well known LA bands. Be sure to check out a show at the Echo down the street!
I have a huge appreciation for hospitality because I spend most of my year in other peoples homes. So the house rule is make yourself at home! Borrow a book, take a blanket or the pic-nic basket to the park! Open a bottle of wine. Make yourself a french press coffee. Use the toiletries in the shower. And please let me know if there is anything I can do to make your stay more comfortable :)
Full 1-bedroom apartment, out-door patio and parking.
Interaction with Guests
Usually little to no interaction unless requested.
Echo Park is a quirky artsy neighborhood, coffee shops, book stores, music venues, and record shops abound. Be sure to check out the actual park and paddle boats as well!
Uber is the best way to get around in LA. Or Highly recommend renting a car.
Make yourself at home.
No pets or smoking in doors.
Be sure to lock both front and back doors when out.
Its ok to leave kitchen and bathroom windows open.
Please strip sheets and used towels into a pile for the house cleaner.
And wash any used dishes :)
PARKING: Open chain link gate, and pull in straight ahead in front of the wooden gate. Pull up as close to the wooden gate as possible so neighbors cars can get around you.
Sharaya was very easy to communicate with and made everything hassle free. The home feels like a home, with personal touches throughout, that we'd all rather have than staying in a stuffy hotel. In it's a great location for Silverlake, and the highways are pretty close too. Each morning I'd start the day in the garden too. I really enjoyed staying at the house and wouldn't hestitate to book again. Peace and love!
Very cute home in a walkable neighborhood. It feels like staying in a friends place rather than a hotel. Nice if you'd like a home vibe.
Sharaya seemed to be a very nice host and I'm glad that she approved me for a last minute reservation. The apartment was in a great location that was right next to everything. But, to be honest, the house is in poor repair: none of the windows in the bedroom or living room open and there is only one old small ac unit in the bedroom. The fridge was half-sized, and the shower door was broken. Though I think it is a fine property, I think it is worth a little less than advertised for.
True, this is a very old home built in 1904, so some dis-repair is to be expected. I consider it a part of the homes character. I actually gave you a discounted rate for the last minute booking. I Have never had these complaints from 95 other people who paid the full rate. But thanks for the feedback, and for returning my blanket.
The neighborhood is great and very walkable. The apartment itself is very comfortable and stylish, and Sharaya made sure we had everything we needed. The book collection is wonderful.
We enjoyed our stay. Sharaya was very nice and prompt in responding. The place was in a triplex with one neighbor next door and one above. A nice not long walk will take you to plenty of coffee shops and restaurants. The emerging neighborhood has a mix of homes with some pretty gardens. Jasmine was blooming in several gardens. A large bedroom, plenty of closet space, comfortable living room, sunny kitchen and office/small sitting area. Picnic table is right outside the small sitting room. I would recommend staying here, just know that this place has wear that doesn't show on the photos.
We had an amazing time at Sharaya's apartment. The place was clean, filled with natural light, and was decorated in a soulfully tasteful, bohemian manner.
My girlfriend really enjoyed planning our days in the small office space and we both enjoyed wine and cheese in the comfy, cozy living room. As an added buonus for me - no TV to get sucked into!
