Lisa and Clark are very good hosts. The location is great and very quiet. The guest house is good sized and the photos are very accurate. A minor negative is there is very little closet space.
Both of the hosts were very quick to respond to email and texts. We would stay here again if in Phoenix.
Lisa & Clark's guest house could not have been more perfect for our stay in Tucson! This was everything we were looking for and in a location that far exceeded our expectations! The property was gorgeous with all of the Cacti beginning to bloom - and the guest house was comfortable, clean, and exactly as pictured.
We have a great bed at home that is outfitted nicely and "scratchy sheets" and "hard/lumpy pillows" are always one of my big complaints when staying away from home...but, we absolutely LOVED LOVED the pillows, linens and comforters at the guest house! I may actually try and track down the sheets and buy a set, they were soft and cozy and great.
The local information provided was great (lots of magazines, pamphlets and restaurant information) and Lisa was even thoughtful enough to set out two Desert Animal picture books for our toddler.
We loved the (email hidden)ere was a park a few blocks away, a Starbucks a bit further (2 minutes) and an awesome greenway/path right around the corner (1 minute) that my husband enjoyed while taking a stroller walk with our son. Lisa was very easy to contact and very timely with responses, but was gracious and after welcoming us made us feel comfortable to come and go as we pleased.
It really was a perfect, quaint, stress-free guest house. We didn't have to deal with valet at a hotel or constantly shushing a cranky toddler early in the morning for fear of bothering other guests. It was private and safe and perfect.
Thank you so much!
Lisa and Clark met us on arrival and made us feel very welcome. The location in Tucson is ideal, in an interesting location that feels like the country side but is close to downtown and stores etc. It's also next to Reid Park, which is great for a run, seeing some baseball, and golfing. The unit is beautifully decorated and very private. The only downside is that the kitchen is not very functional. It's fine for making a sandwich or having some cereal, but not very practical for a dinner.
Elegant, comfortable, spotlessly clean, very easy find, close to everything. There is no fault to this property. The owners live close by and are ready for a chat or a bit of advice whenever you need.
Thanks to Lisa and Clark for a great visit! The guest house is lovely and looks as good “in person” as it does in the photos. The set up is perfect with two bedrooms and a living room where we could hang out. We also enjoyed the outdoor table and chairs; we ate some meals outside. On top of everything, Lisa went above and beyond what is expected of a host: she lent me clothing since I had forgotten an essential piece of my outfit for the wedding I was in. Thank you again!
Thank you Lisa and Clark for everything. You were there for us, if we needed something! You show us how to discover Tucson and its restaurants and bike routes. You were very kind and the house was exactly like the pictures. Our trip was perfect and we have to thank you for that!
This is my second time staying at Lisa & Clark's beautiful casita. The place is always very clean and comfortable - it has a great energy and really feels like home. There is a lot of privacy but Lisa and Clark are always reachable if anything comes up. They are super friendly people. Thank you again! See you next time! :)
About the Host, Lisa (& Clark)
I love to keep moving and living in the desert with almost 352 days of sunshine gives me plenty of opportunities to hike, rock climb, bike, swim and run! We are into triathlon! I am an artist as well so I get inspiration every where I go! I love helping out my community and do so working with Habispaces - a Habitat for Humanity arm that I created to help to furnish and design the interior spaces of Habitat families. My husband, Clark and I do all this together. We both love to travel and explore. We are all about discovering the native lifestyle and not so much the tourist. We love good food and can't wait to share our favorite list of great local restaurants for our guests.
