The space

Nice and cosy little apartment in the old town of Barcelona. Very quiet, very relaxing, only the sounds of village style church bells disturb the silence! The ceilings are very low, as it is an old building.

2 terraces, that are shared with the neighbours, 1 with 360 degrees view over barcelona.

There is one bedroom with a double bed, from which you can see the Cathedral, Santa Maria del Mar, Montjuïc! One bathroom with shower and a kitchen-living-room.

5 minutes from the cathedral, 10 minutes to plaza Catalunya (bus to the airport and train connections) 15 minutes from the beach, next to Arc de Triomf (train to the airport, metro and central bus station).

A very beautiful neighbourhood in a quite area of La Ribera. There are many shops, cafes and bars in the neighbourhood. Hardly any traffic, as the centre is closed for cars most of the time.

There is one very cosy double bed in the bedroom and a sofa in the living/ kitchen room.

I frequently travel for work (and sometimes for holidays) for presentations and creation residencies. When away you'd have the whole apartment for yourself, which is mostly the case. In special cases, there is a very small room, which I could rent out for short periods of time. It is for one person only, as there is no physical space.

Guest access

The whole flat is yours. I rent out when I'm on the go.
Only the storage room should not be touched

Interaction with guests

Not so much in real, as I am travelling when I rent out my place. For any questions I will be happy to answer them

The neighborhood

The neighbourhood is one of the oldest and most charming of the city. It's quiet and has nice shops and bars. There is hardly any traffic.

Palau de la Musica is just about 5 minutes walk, Arc de Triomf as well. The Parc Ciutadela is about 10 minutes walk. You have a beautiful market (Catarina) at 5 minutes too

Getting around

The place is well connected.
In 10 minutes distance Arc de Triomf train and metro (red line)station and the inter-regional bus station (Estacio Nort)

10 minutes walk to Urquinaona metro station (red and yellow line)

15 minutes walk to Estacio de França train station

Plaza Catalunya is at 10 minutes by foot.

House Rules

The terraces are shared with the neighbour and have to be used with respect. We cannot make any parties, small dinner is fine, always making sure to not use the neighbours part of the terrace.

The neighbour's dog is quite nosy and doesn't respect the intimacy. She loves staring through the open window, which is quite a entertaining image.

I am a german visual artist and illustrator. Most of the time I live and work in Barcelona, where I moved to 11 years ago. I work freelance, making live video performances and video installations and collaborate with musicians, dance companies, stage directors....

I love the sea and the mountains, exhibitons, concerts and meeting up with friends. And sit on the terrace and draw, listen to music... Just took up skateboarding again, after a 20 years break! It's very great fun.

I frequently travel for work, and sometimes for holidays.
