Gut renovated in 2022, this old charming farmhouse has new bathrooms, a new kitchen, new windows, new flooring, and central heating and cooling system. The house sits quietly in a productive farm with a variety of crops (including a vineyard in development), old barns, rolling green fields, and a lovely pond. It is a peaceful and comfortable place to bring your family and friends for a get-together vacation.

The space
The fully functional, newly remodeled kitchen is on the first floor. Commonly used cookware and tableware are provided, along with seasonings, coffee, tea, etc. Additional kitchen supplies may be found in the pantry next to the breakfast area. Guests are expected to bring their own groceries if dining at home is desired. A gas grill is also available in the backyard. Tap-water in the house is from the well on site and untreated. Water from the small faucet next to the kitchen sink is purified with RO technology and ready to drink. Living room, dining room, powder room, and mud room/laundry room are also located on the first floor. The TV in the living room has ROKU internet channels and movies. It also has a HDMI cable ready if you want to watch movies from your own laptop.

The farmhouse has 4 bedrooms on the second floor, with 2 queen-size beds, 1 full-size bed and 1 twin bed. Each bedroom has a computer desk and plenty of closet space to store your clothing and luggage. There is a newly renovated, full bath on the second floor and a half bath on the first level. The mirrors in the bathrooms are self-heated to avoid frosting in winter. The light in the mirror can be changed with a single touch on the mirror. Towels and additional bathroom supplies can be found in the linen closet next to the bathroom. The controller for heating and cooling is located at the second-floor landing area. Please turn off the system if you prefer to open windows for natural air.

Guest access
The Farmhouse is sitting on a farm of over 70 acres. There is plenty of space for outdoor activities. At least 7 parking spots are available at the end of the driveway. Feel free to walk around the farm and take pictures. The scenery there is fantastic, especially at sunset. The garage and barn buildings are off limit to the guests. The farmhouse is located in a safe neighborhood. There is also 24-hour internet video surveillance (outdoor only) on the farm.

All activities outside the farmhouse is complimentary. Please proceed carefully and do not hold the host liable especially if you are not familiar with agriculture environment. If you can't walk on a gravel driveway, afraid of large open space or wild animals, or super sensitive to pets, the farmhouse may not be a good fit for you.

Other things to note
Frenchtown is the starting point of the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park, one of central New Jersey's most popular recreational corridors for river tubing, canoeing, jogging, hiking, bicycling, fishing and horseback riding. It was recently named as one of the best small-town vacations in America by Esquire magazine. There are plenty of recreational activities a short driving distance from the house, in addition to shopping, dining, and museums in neighboring towns, such as Flemington, New Hope, Lambertville.
