  • It was an absolute pleasure to stay with Niamh and her family in their beautiful, peaceful home. The setting is stunning. We spent a day in the Wicklow mountains, walking. Such beautiful scenery .... and the sun was shining! Niamh and her husband were charming and very gracious hosts. They were helpful in all respects and made sure we had a roaring fire to sit by each evening. The most delicious scones with pot of tea was a welcome bonus! Our room was great. Lots of space, huge comfy bed and a super bathroom en-suite. Great shower. Just perfect.
We would definitely stay with them again if we were planning to spend time in the Wicklow Mountains.

  • Niamh and her husband were fantastic hosts !

From the gentle discussion around the fireplace at tea time to the great breakfast during which Niamh showed us the perfect route to enjoy our day trip on the road in the wicklows mountains, this was a great stay and wonderful memories.

    Thanks again,

  • We had a comfortable, happy, peaceful and invigorating two day stay at beautiful Ballyteige House and were made to feel so welcome by Niamh and family. A spacious, clean and inviting bedroom and bathroom, as well as a welcoming invitation to use the sitting room - a fantastic breakfast with good company from the girls, and some top notch recommendations for walking in the countryside locally. Armed with a map and a compass lent by our hosts we enjoyed a fantastic day on Lugnaquilla. Thanks Niamh.

  • We just returned from a lovely visit to Ireland and stayed a couple of nights with Niamh and her family at the Ballyteige House in County Wicklow. We had a great time..everything was quite cozy, the setting was exquisite and quite close to lush and beautiful spots in the Wicklow Mountains.

  • Although we sadly didn't have the pleasure to meet Niamh in person, she found us a great alternative place to stay and we had a lovely time. Thanks again!

  • In the beautiful Wicklow Mountains this is the place to stay: not only the place, a beautifully restored 19th century house, but also the generous warm hospitality from the family. They took their time to make our stay comfortable and gave plenty of in-depth advice on hiking in this area. It was an absolute pleasure to get used to the personal touch which we were not so much accustomed to during the previous 2 week of Ireland travel. In a way it felt like meeting new friends. Thanks! Hello, I live in rural Co. Wicklow in Ireland with my husband and two little girls and our horse called Manny. We are outdoors enthusiasts and love hiking and running in the mountains which are nearby. We take a relaxed approach to life and having a good work-life balance is very important to us. We love to meet new people and enjoy welcoming people into our home - although be warned - you will be invited/encouraged to come hiking with us!
