A great alternative to a hotel room in the Greater Boston Area. Sunny, private room in my home. Very large room with a queen bed and futon sofa. Can sleep up to 2 max. Full bathroom with tub, Jacuzzi and shower. Fantastic location. If you are working, visiting, helping your student move to school, relocating, this is an ideal spot. House is located at the intersections of Mass Pike (90), 495 and Route 9. 20 minutes drive to Boston, or commuter rail daily (5 minutes away). 12 minutes to the 128 corridor and T. Off street parking. Can offer meals if you like. Please, no smoking. Must love dogs...we have one big and VERY friendly Bernese mountain dog and a smaller mix. But no worries, they'll leave you alone!
We are located near many schools and businesses. Also, mecca for shopping, entertainment and restaurants. Minutes from Framingham and Natick. 2 minutes onto the Mass Pike. A few minutes to a beautiful walking orchard and trails.
Hot coffee provided each morning.
I am a passionate cook; more than happy to prepare a meal for an extra charge.
Looking forward to sharing the house with you.
Gail was my fist airbnb host and it could not have been a better experience. I was in the area to give two lectures with the first being at night and the second the next morning so I only needed a place to sleep, and shower. I arrived late in the evening but Gail was very accommodating, and I left early in the morning. Their was fresh biscotti with raisins, and water at the bedside, which was a very nice touch. I will definitely stay with Gail if I'm ever in the Southborough area again. Thanks Gail!
Gail is the perfect hostess! Her home is welcoming and the room is very spacious - very sunny and happy! I slept like a baby in the very snugly bed! There is AC you can control yourself and a fabulous ceiling fan if you want to sleep with the window open! It is right across the street from St. Mark's Golf Course. In the evening all the neighbors bring their big dogs out and have a play date. It's really a home away from home! I don't want to leave! Thank you so much Gail! It's so wonderful I want to keep it a secret!
Gail was nice and easy to deal with - the house was in a beautiful location both an easy drive into Boston and right on the commuter train system. Room was much bigger than seems in picture and very comfortable.
We enjoyed our brief stay - in Gail's spacious guestroom with
adjacent bathroom. The breakfast scones and coffee were appreciated greatly, especially prior to our very early departure!
The dogs were friendly. I enjoyed checking out the lovely Spring flowers!
Couldn't have asked for a better experience. I was in the area for work and needed an affordable place to stay outside Boston city limits. Gail had several key amenities: reliable wifi, outlets near the nightstand to plug in my phone and pot of coffee ready each morning, plus breakfast if I asked for it. Location is convenient to several state roads leading to Mass Pike and 95.
Room was spacious, bed was comfy with ample closet space for hanging clothes. I had privacy when I needed it but only had to go downstairs to experience Gail's warm hospitality. I'm not a dog lover but didn't find her big dogs scary in the least.
Would definitely return to experience the area on vacation. Thanks, Gail!
What a wonderful experience staying with Gail! The location was perfect and Gail and her sweet dogs were beyond welcoming. There were flowers waiting for me in the room and everything was clean and comfortable. It felt like a home away from home with coffee and toast in the morning! I would recommend staying with Gail if you have the opportunity!
I could not have asked for a better first airbnb experience! Gail responded quickly and warmly to my initial inquiry and introduction, and she was just as friendly and warm in person. She instantly put this introverted traveler at ease. She was very helpful with dinner and activities suggestions, and offered homemade biscotti and scones with coffee in the morning.
The room matched its sunny description, with windows on three sides and colorful linens. I don't always sleep well when I'm away from home, but it was so quiet and comfortable that I slept like a baby. Brodie the dog is a big sweetie.
Southborough is a very charming town with a classic New England feel. I felt very safe here, and would not hesitate to go for an early morning or late evening walk or run alone in this neighborhood. I would happily book this room again for future trips to the area.
Gail (and dog Brodie) are the best hosts. The room is quiet, cozy, and adorable. The house is within walking distance of a breakfast cafe, and a short drive from dinner spots and access to the turnpike.
This house was not only pleasant to stay at, but Gail was welcoming, fun, and full of great recommendations about places to visit and eat. The best home-stay possible!
Everything was clean, laundry available, and the dog is awesome and sweet.
Our stay at Gail's was perfect. She responded quickly to the original reservation request made just 24Hrs in advance and the prompt communication continued, sending directions and arranging for a late arrival (we were attending a niece's concert nearby). The house is lovely, on a quiet winding street across from a rustic Golf Course. The room warm and comfortable with an equally comfortable bed. Sunday was baking day for Gail and as we packed up to leave she invited us for freshly made coffee, scones and biscotti. We then got engaged in conversation that lead to a nice relaxing Sunday morning around the kitchen table. Gail is a great example of what AirBnB is all about, visiting new places, meeting interesting articulate people (she's and artist!) and overall having a more personal stay while travelling.
