**We've recently welcomed a baby to our family and are taking a break from our B&B. We are however renting our entire apartment during the following dates :
The apartment is perfectly situated for the main shopping area on boulevard Jean Medecin, the famous rivera beaches, an array of french and ethnic restaurants and only a short walk to Old Town nice (Vieux Nice). The apartment is also well-positioned for visiting nearby Monaco, Cannes, Antibes, Menton and the stunning the hill top village of St Paul de Vence. Whether it's fresh flowers and nectarines from the farmer's markets, a lazy day at the beach or a leisurely morning at a local cafe -- it's all walking distance from the apartment!
The apartment is in a typical Nice period building with high ceilings and fishbone wood flooring. It is on the third floor (4th floor in USA). There's a flight of stairs, then access to an elevator.
THE FLAT : The larger room (13m2) has a comfortable double bed for two people, automatic shutters and a fan during summer months. The smaller room (9m2) also has a comfortable double bed and a small balcony.
The living/dining room has a dining table for 4 (with extension for 6) , a tv, a large sofa and sitting chair. There is also WIFI access and a phone with free international calling to fixed lines.
The kitchen is well-equipped with all new appliances including 3-burner cook top, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, coffee maker, water kettle and a small breakfast table. There are plenty of pans, plates, glasses, cutlery, serving dishes, etc for your use.

The flat is equipped to a high-standard with all the amenities you'll need-- spacious living room, newly renovated bathroom and modern well-equipped kitchen.
Interaction with Guests
We are available to help you plan your stay and are happy to chat about our favorite things to do in Nice. We've been hosting for awhile and know what itineraries to suggest to guests, or personal tour of Nice with our guests if we have time.
Now...let's talk about Nice! There is no place in France that screams “French Rivera” like Nice. Three hundred days of sunshine, lively local markets, hundreds of cafes and restaurants, golf and ski resorts (within an hour's drive from eachother), museums and galleries, an exciting agenda of cultural events throughout the year-- Nice is a city that moves.
ACTIVITIES : Nice is a city with endless possibilities. If you're looking for a lazy day soaking up Mediterranean sun, the breathtaking Bay of Angels (Baie des Anges) is the place to go. If you prefer something more active, the Promenades des Anglais offers a lovely 5-km stroll along the coastline. Nearby is also Old Town nice, a dense network of alleyways, narrow buildings and pastel, Italianate facades. You'll also find the Cours Saleya in Old Town, the site of an enticing daily vegetable and flower market (marche des fleurs) that's just as lively during the day as it is at night (don't forget to try the local “socca”, a chickpea pancake). And if you're an art lover, you'll have your hands full visiting the museums of Nice featuring artists museums ranging from Chagall to Matisse and everything in between. Just downstairs is the Theatre de la Cite bringing energy and theater to Nice for years as well as the old monastery of Notre Dame located at the end of the street. Finally, if you've had your fill of the Rivera coast and culture, you can head to the southern alps and hit the slopes (ski resorts are only 1h15 drive away. Bus service available as well). From skiing to scuba diving, nightlife to beach life, culture to haute couture, fine dining to café culture, Nice has it all.
SHOPPING : Shopping in Nice can be addictive, you've been warned. Boulevard Jean Medecin, the main shopping area in Nice, is just 2 blocks from the apartment. You'll find everything from big stores like Zara and Galleries Lafayette to small shops selling local specialties. There is also a large grocery store across the street where you can pick up groceries and toiletries. Our neighborhood also offers a number of boulangeries (bakeries), boucheries (butcher shops) and small produce shops (don't leave without getting olives from our favorite local shop!). The nearby Liberation market bustles daily and offers everything you’ll need for a gourmet dinner or casual picnic—olive oil, cheese, bread, local rose wine, fresh sun-ripened produce, local goat cheese, dried Provencal herbs and famously delicious local favorites such as “socca” (chickpea pancakes) and “fougasse” (flat olive bread studded with olives).
EATING : Whether you're searching for Michelin-star Provencal cuisine or a casual pizza joint...you'll find something for every appetite. On our block alone you'll find a gastronomic french bistrot on one end and a halal pizza joint on the other...with 5 asian restaurants in between. Our neighborhood is a foodie's heaven where one can eat something from every continent.
GETTING TO/FROM THE APARTMENT: Our apartment is 500m (5 min walk) from the main train station (Gare TGV Thiers/Nice ville). There is a shuttle bus that runs from the airport to the trains station (bus 99, 6euros). If you are arriving by car, be aware that parking is difficult and all parking is paid parking.
There are two multistorey car parks within 2 mins walk from the apartment - the closest is on Place Mozart. Weekly passes are available from the car park information offices. Approx cost is €70 for a week. Parking on the street is possible, but difficult to find. Getting around Nice couldn't be easier. The tram is 2 blocks away (10euros/10 one-way tickets) or you can rent “velobleu” bikes to get around. Nice is very walkable.
Just treat our place like your own home :)
Wonderful experience! Heather took the time to show me the amenities in the house, such as the washing machine and kitchen supplies. The kitchen worked perfectly to cook delicious groceries from a farmer's market style place one block away. The beds and sheets were very comfortable. It can fit 3-4 adults just fine if you are used to cozy living. I highly recommend Heather's apt.
Heather and Sam made me feel at home. They both are warm, friendly and communicative. The room was cozy, luminous, and the bed was comfortable. I would certainly want to go and stay with them again.
Thank Heather& Sam
I had an amazing stay with Heather & Sam! The apartment itself is comfortable and clean, the breakfast was very yummy (Heather even got me peanut butter since I mentioned it!) and the location is perfect. They are very knowledgable and helpful regarding travel plans. I highly recommend staying here, I felt at home and in good company the whole time, especially hanging out with Cloclo. Heather even met me at the train station so I would feel safe since I was arriving late and alone. Thanks again for a great stay Heather & Sam, all the best in 2015!!
J'ai été très bien accueilli par Heather.
Leur appartement est vraiment mignon et leur chat très gentil :)
My friend and I came to Nice after a busy five days in Paris, and what a nice change of pace. Sam and Heather were so welcoming from Day One, and helped us plan our days in this cute beach town.
The location is great, an easy walk to the Promenade, Old Nice, and lots of bus stops to get to other areas. They had maps on hand for us to use and helped us figure out what bus routes to take if needed.
The room is just as pictured, and the breakfast each morning was such a treat. We even had a dinner together on our last night. All in all, I'd highly recommend Sam and Heather as hosts. We truly enjoyed ourselves in Nice, and they both had much to do with that!
Me and my friend had a lovely stay with Heather and Sam. Heather really made us feel welcomed right from the beginning and was extremely helpful and nice. And we loved Cloclo! The apartment was well located within a short walk to Place Massena and the train station, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast really good. Would highly recommend!
I highly recommend Heather and Sam's place. Heather was very responsive and communicated everything I needed- location, bus ect. The room was perfect, comfortable bed, water, maps, use of kitchen, living area, even her phone. Every morning Heather laid our a very nice breakfast of fresh baguette, butter, jams, tea (I don't like coffee) and fresh cut fruit. However, the real treat is how friendly and sweet they are. The icing for me- I had drama at the airport leaving as I forgot my passport in a bag at their apartment. Heather immediately took a bus and brought it to me at the airport. Once in a lifetime luck to meet such a sweetheart!

Welcome to Nice! We're a french-american couple living in Nice since October 2012. We love Nice and especially love to share the city with our guests! We've been active members of Airbnb since March 2011 and LOVE it. We ran a B&B in Dinard, Brittany and enjoyed welcoming guests from all over the world to our quaint beachside town. We (plus our cat) welcome you to Nice!
I am a french guy from Nantes, France. I work as a cartography engineer for the National Park of Mercantour. I love getting to know and sharing my culture with guests. The park is a nature-lover's paradise; 6 tranquil valleys full of scenic hikes.
Everything here echos a long common history with Italy.
During winter I love skiing in the alps.
During autumn, I like to go abroad to discover new countries and new culture !
During summer, it's an huge pleasure to hike in the national park on the weekend and to enjoy the mediterrean beaches during the week.
During spring, i take advantage of the last snow and the quietness of "La Côte d'Azur".
I am a California-native living in France for since 2010 and in Nice since Fall 2012. I work an english teacher/translator/property manager/jill of all trades (with a university degree in Psychology) and LOVE the philosophy behind Airbnb. I enjoy hosting people, being a cultural ambassador for my native country (no, Americans do not ALL eat hamburgers, wear white tennis shoes and shop at Wal-mart, hehe) and keep a pretty open mind about the world.
I'm an out-going person with an insatiable thirst for exploring this world and sharing the joy of life with others. I want to make my life as full as possible and taste as much of it as I can. I hope the end of my life feels like a full stomach after a good meal, full of rich experiences.
Travel and seeing the world is a huge priority in our life which is why we always seem to hit it off with Airbnb guests. Some favorite travel memories are...sipping airag in a Mongolian ger at sunrise, hitching a ride on a donkey cart in Western China, sleeping on a hardseat for a 28 hour train ride (to save $5), diving with manta rays, eating guinea pig, silk worms and pig blood soup, galloping a horse through the Gobi desert, trekking through the remote jungles of Borneo (where we met), sleeping in a barn in rural Switzerland, going to Oktoberfest (with my 77 year old grandpa) and completing a triathalon. But honestly---travel stories are best told over a glass of rose :)
