Geri provided me with everything that I needed this summer and was excellent at communicating with me. The place itself is less than a 10 minute walk to the LIRR so it is very easy to get into the city. The neighborhood is safe and full of Spanish restaurants. The apartment had s…

Thanks Madeleine! I'm glad I was able to help out, and it was a pleasure getting to know you, and your friend, this summer. You are welcome back at anytime. I'm glad you loved the safety of the neighborhood, but there are ALL kinds of restaurants in the neighborhood - Spanish, Italian, French, Thai, Chinese, Japanese and of course American!!! I'm glad you had enough space, and storage, for your 10 week stay. Please stay in touch and reach out to me the next time you're on Long Island. Have a great year, and thanks again for choosing me as your host.

Geri is a very kind host. She was out of town when I stayed, but was actively checking in on me via airbnb's messaging system, to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying my stay. She actively encouraged me to let her know if there was anything that needed to be addressed to ensu…

I'm glad you were comfortable and enjoyed your stay. I keep the area well lit for safety of all of my guests, and I even have motion sensitive cameras recording all activity that takes place outside of the building, as well as cameras in the entry way, as an added safety protection for all of my guests. I'm glad you enjoyed the kitchen, as so many of my guests haven't really used it - so it still looks almost brand new even though it's almost three years old! The AC in the bedrooms are definitely a necessity in NY during the summer (and sometimes even on those crazy 90 degree spring and fall days). I'm glad you had a happy and satisfying stay. Thanks again for choosing ME as your host. Happy travels!

Response from Geri:
Thank you Samantha. I try my best to provide my guests with whatever they need during their stay. You were a great guest and I'm glad I was able to provide everything you needed ( and now there's an iron, ironing board, hi speed fiber optic internet, and lots of paper towels and toilet paper stored in every apartment that I rent ) I've also bought brand new sheets and towels for every guest so they can change their sheets midway through their stay. Always trying to improve the service but thank you for your kind words.

Let me start by saying that Geri seems like a nice woman, and I really appreciated her working with me on booking this room (especially last minute), as it was my first time doing airbnb, and was confused a little. Onto the my experience: The pictures looked good, and the rev…

Hi Zachary. I'm so sorry you didn't have a great experience and I can understand your disappointment with "problems" with the toilet. The plunber was there within 12 hours of me finding out there was a problem ( which you first told me about on Sunday night at 830) and you had unfortunately had checked out before it was resolved. As it turns out, there was no problem at all, and I do feel bad that the other resident lied to you, and to me, about that situation. I paid 300 to get someone there for emergency repairs the next day. Not your problem but I want to thank you for letting me know that the other guest made you feel so uncomfortable. He has since been asked to leave, because I don't want anyone else to me made uncomfortable by him. I have never had these kinds of problems before so thank you for bringing them to my attention. The door sign was reporting the new address of Mineola Signs, a tenant of mine for nearly 30 years and I allowed them to keep it there so customers could find their new location. The house numbers were ABOVE that sign, but I can see how that might be confusing so I will definitely make the house number larger and clearer. The pictures on the website show an older bed and I bought new ones And traded out the twin beds for full beds. I thought that was an improvement but I will update the pictures on the website so as not to confuse anyone else. Thank you for bringing all of your concerns to my attention. I would love to host you as a guest, for free, for two days, to make up for the inconvenience you experienced. Reach out to me the next time you are in town and I promise you will have a better experience. Thanks again for your patronage. Geri.
