I spent six days in the apartment of Junko in Kyoto.
Junko picked me up at the bus stop and showed me the apartment. In 10 minutes you reach the bus stop by foot.
She does not live in this house but she came to visit a few times and it was very nice to chat with her. Junko is very friendly.
The place is like the descrption. I apreciated sleeping in the tatami room, it was a good experience ! Thank you Junko :)
Junko's home is a real home feeling place in Kyoto. We do not want to leave if we still have time to stay in there. We will recommend this accommodation to anyone who want to have a happy stay in Kyoto.
Typique petit appartement japonais avec tatami et parois coulissantes, dans un quartier paisible. Junko a pris le temps de nous recevoir avec du thé et des gâteaux en nous expliquant les différentes choses à voir à Kyoto!
Très bonne expèrience!
the place is quit near from the station and the house is so well equipped with all you need including the cook things and shampo and so on , Junko is very nice and always ready to help, it's more like a home than a guest house in Kyoto!
Junko is a very friendly host - not only did she walk us to her place from the train station (just a 5-10mins walk), she also answered every question that we had. She also recommended us to visit places that were not on our itinerary (such as the flea held at Shionji temple on the 15th of every month), which all turned out to be awesome! Her place is cosy and has practically everything that you would possibly need for your trip. I'd definitely recommend Junko to anyone who wish to visit Kyoto.
This apartment was great, not really big, but definitely has everything you need and doesn't feel cramped. The bedroom had a great gas heater which was put to good use! Junko was a really wonderful host, she had an appointment when I arrived but she arranged for a friend to meet me there, and her directions from the train station were really thorough so I had no issues. When she did drop in, she was incredibly friendly, had good sightseeing tips and even left sweets which was a lovely gesture! I would definitely stay here again.
Junko was an excellent host. She picked me up at the bus station and was kind enough to walk me tho the tatami room, giving me references and great advice to enjoy my trip to Kyoto in the best way possible. She even bought me a green tea pastry! I'd definitely like to stay here again if I visit Kyoto in the future.
