This apartment was great, not really big, but definitely has everything you need and doesn't feel cramped. The bedroom had a great gas heater which was put to good use! Junko was a really wonderful host, she had an appointment when I arrived but she arranged for a friend to meet me there, and her directions from the train station were really thorough so I had no issues. When she did drop in, she was incredibly friendly, had good sightseeing tips and even left sweets which was a lovely gesture! I would definitely stay here again.
Junko was an excellent host. She picked me up at the bus station and was kind enough to walk me tho the tatami room, giving me references and great advice to enjoy my trip to Kyoto in the best way possible. She even bought me a green tea pastry! I'd definitely like to stay here again if I visit Kyoto in the future.
Junko was very welcoming and even showed us how to get to her place! Very lovely and super comfortable place. Easy to get around to as well. Thanks Junko!
Junko is a very nice host. She picked us at the bus station, and took us to the most comfortable flat. Also gave us useful information about where we planed to go. Even we can't speak Japanese and speak poor English. She still understood what we were talking about. While we stayed in Kyoto 7 days,Junko sometimes came to see us and care about us.If we had problem, she replied us quickly. Her flat is very close to bus station and Hankyu railway, so we went to many places easily. We are so lucky to have this chance to stay in Junko's flat.Hope to we can go to Junko's comfortable flat next time!
Junko is very attentive and helpful. She solves problem quickly if there is any. She answers all your questions and if she doesn't know, she will search the answers for you. Staying in her apartment garantees that you have a good Japanese friend.
Her apartment has 2 bedrooms, one double and one single. The rooms are exactly what you saw in the photos. There are also one bathroom with washing machine, a well-equiped kitchen and a living room for guests to share. You have much more space than staying in hotel. She doesn't live at the apartment but that doesn't cause any problem. She often comes to talk and communicates with us through LINE.
Two private train stations and bus stops are only a few minutes by walk, very convenient if you use Kansai Through Pass. There are convenient stores, good bakery and restaurants nearby.
My first trip to kyoto. Had a great holiday. Apartment is close to the city. 5 mins to bus & subway. It's quiet & clean. Junko is very helpful, directions to her apartment is clear & concise. She waited at the bus stop to show us to her home on the first day. No shortage of restaurants nearby. Complete amenities if you want to cook or do laundry. Host is very helpful & speaks English and gave good advice on how to maximise your stay in kyoto. I will strongly recommend you to stay here for short or long trips. Will come back for a winter experience.
