Such a wonderful place! I loved how clean and nice the place is. Junko is a very nice hostess and her friend, Steven, too, is amazing. They are both so friendly and hospitable , which made the stay very worthwhile. She even provided a mobile wifi for us to use as part of the room package!! Btw, mobile wifi is god-send when you are used to 4G in the states and suddenly don't have any.
There is a Lawson convenience store, grocery store, post office, plenty of bus stops, a Gelato place, a delicious Ramen shop, and an amazing sushi place all nearby.
I will most definitely return to stay here every time I go to Kyoto! My boyfriend and I love this place and the host.
We got lost on our way to the flat and Junko came down to fetch us immediately after we messaged her. Once you reach the flat, it's pretty easy to navigate around the area.
Restaurants, supermarkets are just a stone's throw away. The apartment is very clean and cosy. And the tatami mattress is comfortable as well.
Junko has been a very nice host and even left some pudding for us in the fridge! The 3 days we spent at Kyoto has been quite a rush, would love to spend our time here again the next time!
I love staying at Junko's flat. It was very nice, clean, and comfortable during the time I was there. In fact, it's very convenience for me to take bus and train from Junko's place. This place is good for solo traveler and also group. Junko was very nice and I love chatting with her. She even took care of me when I was sick and gave me small gift on the last day. I was really thankful and had really good time there.
If I am back at Kyoto, I would love to visit Junko's place again.
Great little place! Clean and comfortable with all the amenities you'll need. Junko is so lovely and so willing to help you with anything you need. She have us a glass of water on arrival and really did everything to look after us. Loved staying in the tatami room to end our trip. So traditional. Definitely recommend.
First, the flat. It's lovely. Spacious, cool and immaculate. A five minute walk from Saiin Station and transport links to the shrines, temples and other attractions.
Next, Junko! An absolutely lovely host. She directed our taxi driver to the flat, welcomed us in with snacks and drinks and recommended loads of great places to visit in Kyoto. Stephen's cool too if you get to meet him.
We had a blast in Junko's little pad in Kyoto. Very highly recommended and thanks for having us!
