Fun and Hip Location in Midtown!

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Vedado Way, Atlanta, GA 30308, United States

Midtown is a fantastic, beautiful, and safe area of Atlanta. You will find great shopping, excellent restaurants and night life, as well as beautiful museums. Public transportation is accessible and abundant. This is where you want to be!

The Space

This one bedroom basement apartment is conveniently located in beautiful Midtown, Atlanta...walking distance to Piedmont Park, the Atlanta Beltline, and the Midtown and North Ave MARTA stations.

Going to a festival in Atlantic Station or Centennial Olympic Park? They're both around 2 miles easy walk, bike ride, or cab ride!

It is one of several apartments located within the house you see in the picture. It is located on the bottom/basement floor of the house and has lower ceilings (about 6 1/2 feet).

It's perfect for 1-2 people and located in a great location to walk or ride a bike to museums in Midtown, shopping on Peachtree St, festivals in Piedmont Park, a show at the Fox Theatre, or restaurants and bars on Ponce, or neighboring Virginia-Highlands and Old 4th Ward neighborhoods.

There is a Trader Joe's grocery store, Starbucks, movie theater, and several bars and restaurants just a block down the street. The newly renovated Beltline Trail provides easy access to Inman Park and Little Five Points by foot or bike, and is just one block away.

In addition to buses, the Midtown and North Avenue MARTA train stations are just a mile away. The area is very safe and very quiet. Plentiful parking is available on the street.

There is a small living room with a new futon and cable TV. The bedroom has a new queen-sized bed and desk with a flat screen monitor. WiFi is provided.

The apartment has an A/C window unit and gas heating/appliances. There is a full-sized kitchen with stove and full-sized refrigerator. There is also a toaster oven and microwave, plates, dishes, and glasses. I don't have a coffee maker but there is a Starbucks just a block away :)

The bathroom has a full bath/shower. I have plenty of clean towels and washcloths for you to use, as well as soap and shampoo.

There is a coin washer and dryer located on the premises. Be sure to let me know if you will need access so I can leave the key.

Sorry, I'm not allowed to have pets on the premises!

Guest Access

Guests are welcome to use anything in the kitchen or bathroom. Even the fridge is fair game! If I have a frozen pizza that you're craving at midnight, go for it!

Interaction with Guests

I am usually out of town when my guests are staying, but I am ALWAYS just a call, text, or email away from any questions or concerns you may have. I keep my phone on me at all times!

The Neighborhood

Midtown is an absolutely gorgeous neighborhood with friendly people and stunning sites. An especially beautiful view of the skyline is visible from Piedmont Park, hand's down the best park in Atlanta. It features a huge dog park and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. The incredible High Museum of Art, Fox Theatre, Museum of Design and the Center for Puppetry Arts all call Midtown home. Music festivals like Shaky Knees, Atlanta Jazzfest, and Sweetwater 420 Fest are all easily accessible.

Getting around

Midtown Atlanta is served by Atlanta's rail rapid transit system, MARTA, at the North Avenue, Midtown, and Arts Center MARTA Stations. MARTA operates significant bus service in the district, as well. There is also a free shuttle between the Arts Center MARTA Station and Atlantic Station, as well as a free-to-the-public daytime shuttle between the Midtown MARTA station and Georgia Tech called the "Tech Trolley".

  • Great Place, Awesome location! Jeremy was super flexible with me needing to find a place to stay quickly on the same day.

  • Jeremy's place was great and centrally located to many restaurants and ATL sites. We didn't walk much in the area since it was a cold weekend, but we easily could have. Clean place and excellent value for this location! Jeremy responded quickly to all questions too.

  • The apartment was clean and just right for 1-2 people at that price. We were particularly pleased with the location. Nice neighborhood, pretty easy to find and close enough to downtown to use a taxi-cheaper than parking downtown during special events.

  • Jeremy is a very considerate host! LOCATION is perfect! It was CLEAN and extremely SAFE!! you can access everywhere so easily and also very safe!
But I think Jeremy's apartment is cold for severe winter whether. Also, during our stay, there was a problem with hot water, especially bathroom.

  • Jeremy was a kind and responsive host, and the apartment is great! Clean, organized, quiet, and has everything you would need!

    December 2013
  • Working with Jeremy was incredibly easy. His basement apartment is definitely no-frills but had everything I needed for a weekend spent roaming Atlanta - decent bed, TV, wifi. The price was right for this convenient location in a quiet, safe neighborhood. I took very inexpensive UberX cab rides to the High Museum of Art, to bars in Midtown, etc. (If the weather had been better, I would have walked a bit more.) No real complaints here!

    December 2013
  • The reservation was canceled 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    December 2013
  • It was almost like staying in boy's old college apartment. Absolutely no frills, no curtains, just louvered blinds. Appears to be black mold on the wall near toilet and in the shower. The picture of the front of the house in the ad is not where your place is, you go down the driveway to to a small door with no outside lights, a bit scary at night. Mold was also on the outside door. Pillow cases on both sides appeared to have mascara on them. Dishes were left on the dish rack. Food was left on every shelf in the refrigerator. Wifi did not work. Extremely low ceilings, appeared to be just at 6.5'.

    Response from Jeremy:

This is the only negative review out of 20. I think Ron was expecting more of a "hotel" type experience and not an Airbnb experience. The "frills" of staying here is that it is an affordable alternative to a hotel in an excellent location. That's all I will say, please see the 20 other reviews from people who loved it.

  • Terrific location! Spent a couple of hours walking around one of Atlanta's most charming neighborhoods. Jeremy left music and internet access. Only thing missing was a coffee pot! Apt 3, where we stayed was on the lower/ground level so there was a definite moldy scent but as we were there for one night and just to sleep, it was tolerable. Jeremy was most accommodating with arrival and departure times. And we had the pleasure of an early morning guest, a sweet cat came visiting and we found cat crunchies on the fridge and fed him and then he happily took off. As did we.

  • Jeremy was an excellent host and easy to reach by phone. Everything was clean and as described. Great location in the middle of Atlanta's interesting sights. Easy drive to the High Museum of Art, close to good eats and quick drive to Emory.

I'm from Alabama, went to school at Auburn, moved to Birmingham, then Nashville, and now Atlanta. I love travelling and and playing music whenever I get the chance. I hope to get out to the west coast and visit Portland, Seattle and San Francisco. I served in the Army National Guard and spend a year in Iraq. I enjoying being an Airbnb host because I feel it gives travelers some comforts they would not get in a hotel for a cheaper price :)
