We had a fantastic stay here with our one year old daughter. Lisa was everything you could want from a host, making us feel very welcome. The supplies on the room were a lovely touch and the cooked breakfast delicious. Our daughter loved the dogs but you could see they were very well trained.
Lisa gave us lots of useful infomation about places to visit in the local area and the Ice cream gardens are a treat not to be missed!
Would definitely recommend.
What a first Airbnb experience we had with Lisa!! Her property and its gardens are so very beautiful and the annexe is so expertly and tastefully kitted out...Lisa has thought of everything. She was always happy to offer us tips, advice, ideas about what to do and where to go and made us feel so welcome, while also understanding that we wanted a quiet weekend to ourselves. FYI, any keen stargazers hoping to make the most of Dorset, on a clear night, you can even see the Milky Way from the garden! Magical. I'd recommend to everyone I know, and we'll be back!
Lisa went well above and beyond, thoroughly ensuring that we were comfortable. The cottage was outfitted so thoughtfully, too. She could not have been more generous a host. Situated on a lovely lane that made for a perfect run and bike in the morning. We loved it, her, and her beautiful gardens.
The cottage was perfect! I do regret that I spent only one night there, as there are so many things you could do (this is England's countryside as its best...at least that's my impression)
Lisa is a very kind and helpful person! This place will definitely be considered to visit once more!
Lisa could not have been more helpful or kind! I had to arrange picnics for school speech days and Lisa helped and let me use her kitchen. The room is lovely and the fridge was stocked with goodies when we arrived.
Lisa is a fantastic host; great communication. She really cares for you.
The cottage looks exactly like the pictures, is very tidy and is located in a quiet neighborhood. There were a gazillion different breakfast items - absolutely amazing.
The internet didn't work when we were there, that was a bit of a bummer. Luckily Lisa provided a lot of fantastic hiking maps and recommendations for dining out, which compensated for the lack of internet.
Great stay if you want to explore the southern coast of Dorset and the surrounding area.
Lisa made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The cottage and the garden is a glorious sight to behold and the annexe is beautifully created to a high standard. The accommodation and the location are indeed a wonderful sanctuary in themselves but Lisa's careful attentiveness and generosity really made our stay very special.
About the Host, Lisa
Hello, I'm Lisa... I'm English and American. Born and lived until 30 in California, in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. I helped move my parents back to their homeland, and have lived here ever since, in Surrey and for several years in Dorset. Steve is from Dorset, though lived in Switzerland for many years, which has become a favourite place to visit. I'd love to travel further.
I am mum to two gorgeous daughters, Melissa and Elisabeth. My degrees are in Art and Architecture, and I've worked mainly in Architecture and Interior Design. I enjoy the great outdoors in Dorset, playing with the girls, a variety of arts and culture, and we both love to cook and entertain friends, old and new.
Will consider and write more soon...
