Is highly recommended to book a transfer service from the airport to the apartment, because first of all, during the transfer, the driver will be in contact with the person in charge of the Check-in order to communicate the arrival time at the apartment avoiding problems due to delays or unforeseen.
And Also, the price of the comunal TAXI, was fixed by municipal law, so from the airport to the center of Rome is 48 euro (3 people), but many taxi drivers are also asking for an extra charge for luggage or overnight charge or extra fee for public holiday or the surcharge for each person more than 3..... so...the price will become much higher.
Therefore, to avoid any "discussions" with the taxi driver I recommend the "Private Taxi Transfert".

This is a great place in a great part of Rome. Maurizio was very easy to work with and he did everything to make sure the apartment was perfect.
The kitchen is awesome and the bathrooms very nice. The master bedroom had some water damage on the floor near the shower, but everything worked perfectly.
After we arrived, we discovered the apartment did not have air conditioning. The weather was still cool at night so Maurizio brought us a fan to make it more comfortable. If you are traveling during the summer, you may want to ask about AC.
The third bedroom had a pull out couch so it was not as comfortable as the other rooms, but it was still great.
I regret that in the days of your stay the air conditioning was doing annual maintenance. We always do at this time because the outside temperature is very mild and there is no need for air conditioning. However I am very glad that you did a great time in Rome and that you had a good stay in my apartment.
We wait for the next holiday in Rome.
Thanks for everything
Eu e minha família adoramos a localização do apartamento !
Nice apartment. A bit short on hot water when 3 people takes a morningshower. Beside that it's well equipped spacious and centrally located.
Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in Trastevere! Es war sehr angenehm den Transportservice zu benützen. Er hat toll funktioniert. Wir waren 5 Personen. Die Lage der Wohnung war einfach perfekt!! Danke, jederzeit wieder.
Dear Luigi, your apartment is soooooooo beautiful!
This was our dream trip with my mom (85) and my sister (who's never been to Europe) and we were very emotional to be in Trastevere on a Saturday night with the streets boiling and in such a comfortable surroundings. We opened the windows and it felt that we we're exactly where we always wanted to be: in the heart of Rome!
Claudia was a great host and so was Claudio the driver that Sandra arranged for us to be picked up from the airport and to the train.
Thanks a million for making our arrival and stay in Rome so easy and memorable. It felt like good family greeting us.
We'll come again every time we can.
Luigi was a good host - he provided detailed information after confirming the reservation, and even arranged for separate taxi transfers to the apartment for us and for my wife's parents (who stayed in the apartment with us in Rome). Check in was actually managed with Sandra, who I think actually owns or manages, the apartment, but I'm not entirely sure. There was a little bit of a mix-up at check-in, since our groups arrived separately at different times, but it was all fine in the end. Sandra helped arrange for taxis for us to get back to the airport on our respective departure dates as well.
The apartment was excellent. Huge (especially by Roman/Italian standards), clean, very modern, and fully equipped with all the amenities. It has 3 large bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, good size kitchen and a very large living/dining area. The multi-floor layout also worked well for our group. My only quibble was that the Wi-Fi was very spotty - especially with the thick walls in the apartment.
Location wise, it is truly in the heart of Trastavere, which we discovered is absolutely the best neighborhood in Rome to stay in. Bars, restaurants, cafes, shops are all over the place (including a great restaurant on the main floor of the building), and the streets were just teeming with activity all the time. That said, the owners wisely installed 2 sets of double paned windows through the apartment, meaning that despite the activity just outside, the apartment is surprisingly quiet.
It's also well-situated for getting to both the Vatican, as well as the Pantheon, Coliseum and other attractions on the other side of the river. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking to stay in Rome. .
The host was great. Obviously knew what he was doing. Good amount of information shared a week before booking and he organised a car from the airport for us, which was great because finding addresses in Rome is not easy. Ok the apartment is great, the location, size, beds/linens/pillows, wardrobes, furniture and art work are all fabulous AND the kitchen is Amazing by Rome standards but there are a few things you need to know before you go. 1. Up stairs bedroom is warm and has no windows. 2. Up stairs bathroom has a very small shower. 3. Down stairs bathroom has a (excellent) bath but no shower. 4. Its an old building and can smell a bit funny when locked up all day. There's a ventilation system that clears the air but you can only have it on a few hours. 5. WI-FI is limited download speed 5, upload speed 0.6 and doesn't work in the living room at all. 6. There's a 50euro cleaning fee to pay upon arrival at the apartment plus tourist tax (2euro per person per night) 7. Strict 11am check out time and you can't leave your bags there until you want to leave for the airport. These are not terrible things are I would recommend the place to anybody but its good to know what to expect.
