This luxurious apartment is located in historic center area in the HEARTH of Trastevere, exactly in Via del Moro, 38 (few steps from S. M. Trastevere, 10min walking from Piazza Navona, Campo de Fiori, Pantheon…etc) in one of the most historical places in Rome. The apartment enjoys a strategic position to know fully the true nature of the Eternal City and where you can reach all major tourist attractions of Rome by FEET. The apartment is along a quiet side street with local shops and restaurants. From this apartment you car reach the Vatican city in 10 min walking also.

Luigi was a good host - he provided detailed information after confirming the reservation, and even arranged for separate taxi transfers to the apartment for us and for my wife's parents (who stayed in the apartment with us in Rome). Check in was actually managed with Sandra, who I think actually owns or manages, the apartment, but I'm not entirely sure. There was a little bit of a mix-up at check-in, since our groups arrived separately at different times, but it was all fine in the end. Sandra helped arrange for taxis for us to get back to the airport on our respective departure dates as well.
The apartment was excellent. Huge (especially by Roman/Italian standards), clean, very modern, and fully equipped with all the amenities. It has 3 large bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, good size kitchen and a very large living/dining area. The multi-floor layout also worked well for our group. My only quibble was that the Wi-Fi was very spotty - especially with the thick walls in the apartment.
Location wise, it is truly in the heart of Trastavere, which we discovered is absolutely the best neighborhood in Rome to stay in. Bars, restaurants, cafes, shops are all over the place (including a great restaurant on the main floor of the building), and the streets were just teeming with activity all the time. That said, the owners wisely installed 2 sets of double paned windows through the apartment, meaning that despite the activity just outside, the apartment is surprisingly quiet.
It's also well-situated for getting to both the Vatican, as well as the Pantheon, Coliseum and other attractions on the other side of the river. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking to stay in Rome. .
The host was great. Obviously knew what he was doing. Good amount of information shared a week before booking and he organised a car from the airport for us, which was great because finding addresses in Rome is not easy. Ok the apartment is great, the location, size, beds/linens/pillows, wardrobes, furniture and art work are all fabulous AND the kitchen is Amazing by Rome standards but there are a few things you need to know before you go. 1. Up stairs bedroom is warm and has no windows. 2. Up stairs bathroom has a very small shower. 3. Down stairs bathroom has a (excellent) bath but no shower. 4. Its an old building and can smell a bit funny when locked up all day. There's a ventilation system that clears the air but you can only have it on a few hours. 5. WI-FI is limited download speed 5, upload speed 0.6 and doesn't work in the living room at all. 6. There's a 50euro cleaning fee to pay upon arrival at the apartment plus tourist tax (2euro per person per night) 7. Strict 11am check out time and you can't leave your bags there until you want to leave for the airport. These are not terrible things are I would recommend the place to anybody but its good to know what to expect.
The host Sandra was great. Very friendly. She even help us set up our cab rides to the airport. The place is in a great location in Trevestere. Beautiful place with lots of space and comfortable beds. I would leave the air vent on all day, or the upstairs room gets kind of moldy smelling. Other than that I would definitely recommend staying here for a visit to Rome.
Our stay in Trastevere was great. This home has everything you would need to stay for a long stay. Luigi arranged for a driver to pick us up, which was a big help. We walked to all major attractions in Rome. The house is very nice. There are nice restaurants right in the community. One thing I would say about the street photos is that it is nicer than the photos show. All of the graffiti made me wonder about the area, but it is better than what the photos show.
