1) - WELCOME ON BOARD
In this Belgian barge of 1927, the studio is what was formerly the cabin of the bargeman. Of a surface of 25 m ², he is ideal for a couple in a double bed but can also welcome the third person who will sleep in a single bed.
The studio is a perfectly privat part of the boat.
The internal space is enlarged by numerous openings on all sides. However, because of its narrow doors and of its height of ceiling, the studio is reserved in persons of average corpulence. The air is there dry and the central heating guaranteed the best temperature in winter.
The internal space is divided into a kitchen area (in the brake gear), a lounge - bedroom (in two levels), and a bathroom - toilets. It is equipped with Flat screen TV, with WIFI, with a radio - CD, with an iron and an ironing board (in the demand).
The terrace is equipped with a barbecue and with hammocks. It goes on of a covered patio and is surrounded with reed screening, for more intimacy.
Two bikes can be lent to you (against pledge, if you do not wish to use Vélibs).
A canoe is at your disposal to walk you in the small river's arm of Issy-les-Moulineaux.

4) - ARTISTIC HOLIDAYS
Profit from your holiday in Paris by learning to draw/sketch. Courses of one week are proposed on the boat. The price includes accomodation and half-board.
The courses focus on self-expression through form and colour. We welcome all levels of artistic competence. The beautiful fluvail environment will stimulate the creativity of each student.
Classes take place every morning, followed, in the afternoon, by a programme combining sight-seeing with sketching.
The size of the class is restricted to a maximum of 8 people. Proposed accomodation consists in sharing the mini-loft with fellow students or alternatively, in the case of a couple desiring privacy, being loged in the "Mariner's Cabin".
Apart from the programmed courses, private classes are always available on demand.
Artistic Holidays last a week from Sunday to Sunday. Breakfast and lunch are included, as is the access to a kitchen where students may prepare their own dinner, and eventually take it on the terrace.
Drawing classes take place every morning from Monday to Friday, with 2 hours that is devoted to practical application and technique, and 1 hour to theory.
Afternoons are free, with, however, the option of participating in a 3 hour programme combining "artistic" sightseeing with sketching.
Artistic Holidays may be individual or collective. Group Artistic Holidays are programmed at specific times during the year. Individual students may chose their own Artistic Holiday formula as long as this does not clash with the already determined Group Artistic Holiday programmation.
If you are interested in the Artistic Holidays, just tell me on your demand.

Christophe is a wonderful host and the barge is beautifully situated on the Seine. The WiFi is not always available, but Christophe is working hard to fix that. Using the Velib you are within 5 minutes at the nearest metro station. We used them for a ride in the town. Recommended!
J'ai passé 2 nuits à bord de la péniche. Très bon accueil de la part de Christophe qui m'a aussi bien conseillé pr les restaurants. La Terrasse privative de la péniche est au top pour profiter du Soleil !
It has been a pleasure to visit Paris with such a nice base in town. Close to the supermarket, the tram, a bakery and a charming pizzeria. Lovely terrace (to share with order guests beneath) and surprisingly quiet (waking up in Paris and hearing the blackbirds singing was great!). On top of that a very kind and reliable host so highly recommended.
Superbe week end.
Exactly what we were looking for! A charming, peaceful little get-away, off the beaten path, yet so close to the center of Paris. We stayed in the studio for 3 nights. It had everything we needed and was walking distance to a huge grocery store and bakeries. We either took thenT 2 towrd town or hopped on the city bikes to go into Paris. Could not have been easier.
Only warning is that the ceilings in the studio might be too low for tall people (over 6 ft).
