Rated as 5 Star by (website hidden) and Airbnb - This gorgeous home is nestled in rolling green hills with stunning views to Koonyum Range and valley below.
The three acre property is surrounded by trees and lush gardens and enjoys a very private feel. Only minutes from town and the beach at Brunswick Heads and twenty scenic minutes to Byron Bay.
The home has three bedrooms with the 3rd doubling as a study. Under a cathedral ceiling the living is open plan with chefs kitchen opening onto two large decks. The first is covered, the second is open for star gazing and soaking up the sun with the saltwater plunge pool steps away.
For the cooler evenings, the indoor fireplace and heaters on the deck make this a very cosy home.
Mullumbimby sits on the Brunswick River and is overshadowed by subtropical hills. It is an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful Byron Bay hinterland. Bananas and other tropical fruits thrive in the warm climate and rich soil along the riverbanks. Be sure to take the walking trail through Brunswick Valley Heritage Park, a habitat for more than 200 rainforest plant species, and put on sunglasses to view the amazing display of crystals at Crystal Castle, said to be the largest collection in the country.
The area abounds with great restaurants and cafes, also two local fresh produce markets on Tuesdays and Fridays.
See you in Mullumbimby Creek :)
Smoking allowed but on the decks only
A stunning place to spend a week!
The photos show you a true picture of what is there but it is even better!
The living areas are more spacious than we expected and there are plenty of secluded spots to mellow in.
The kitchen has everything you will need and you will never run out of wine glasses or dinner settings.
We were told to help ourselves to the staples in the pantry and lucky for us we had a chef with us who did just that and created wonderful meals to remember.
Beds are very comfortable with the main bedroom being spacious and having the wonderful princess bathing pavilion as the en suite with a great two person bath!
The view is ever changing and we found it almost impossible to tear ourselves away from it, meals were taken outside and we would then all relax on the chairs, lounge, hammock or cool off in the pool... all while watching the landscape change as the sun and clouds came and went.
The garden is amazing. It is full of colourful tropical plants which attracted lots of birds and butterflies, drawing a lot of envious comments from the gardeners among us.
We arrived to a welcoming bottle of champagne and Julie and Andy to greet us.
They were great hosts. We had to call on them a couple of times and they quickly popped by to resolve our issue.
This is a gorgeous, peaceful, relaxing place to stay and we found it very hard to leave!
Thankyou Julie and Andy, we certainly hope we make if back again sometime soon.
Julie's home is in one of the most beautiful areas of the Northern Rivers in New South Wales. The home is everything you could wish for in a peaceful retreat. The house is only 5 minutes from Mullumbimby for when you need supplies and there are many restaurants and excursions in this area - but we found ourselves not wanting to leave.
It was wonderful to meet Julie and Andy while we were stayed and there was always someone available to answer any questions.
We would highly recommend Serendip.
