Welcome to The Vintage Whinery, the most popular Airbnb destination in Niagara Falls, New York. Your hostesses, Sheila and Rachel, are artists-in-residence on the second floor. We strive to keep our space dedicated to creativity in all of its many splendored forms. Art, music, design and giving new life to found objects. Sheila is a dressmaker and decoupage artist while Rachel is a freeform multimedia construction artist. Our visitors enjoy a uniquely decorated French-inspired apartment that is a mere 15-minute walk to the American Falls and the Rainbow Bridge to Canada. Guests have the luxury of enjoying the entire downstairs flat with two bedrooms (one queen, one full bed), a full kitchen and private bath and entry. If you choose to sleep with your window open a bit you will hear the Distant rumbling of the Mighty Niagara as you lull off to sleep. An assortment of teas, homemade Chai tea, and coffee are available for you in the kitchen. Feel free to cook in-house, or bring back some local delicacies to enjoy.
Our level of interaction with our guests is flexible. Breakfast is served upon request preferably after 8:30 A.M. and we are readily available if guests need help or directions. I provide a map of the region to each guest. A local wine bar just three short blocks away offers fine food, great wine selection and occasional live music. Sheila was dry warm and welcoming. She showed us around, answered all our questions and was generally lovely!
The space was fun, warm and nicely decorated. We couldn't have enjoyed it more
We had a wonderful time in Niagara Falls. This was our first trip to the falls and they are truly beautiful. Staying with Sheila was a wonderful experience. Sheila was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. This was the perfect setting for our stay. The apartment has great decorations and vibes. It is also conveniently located to the falls and a great restaurant, "Wine on Third". We also spent time in Lewiston which has a great little foodie scene and a cute downtown. It was a perfect weekend away. Sheila has a kind spirit, she is the perfect Airbnb host.
The house is beautiful and warm. Sheila is very nice and helpful. She gave us suggestion for transportations, visiting, and foods so that we can fully make use of our time. Next time If I could visit Niagara again I will definitely live there again! We really enjoy the time we stayed there.
We had an amazing time at the The Vintage Whinery. Sheila, thank you so much for making us feel so welcome and at home. Thank you for your amazing breakfasts (especially the waffles) and your recommendations for places to visit and eat. We would definitely recommend your beautiful apartment to friends and family! Thank you so much!
Sheila was a fabulous host, and the space was very artsy with a Parisian feel. The apartment was conveniently located close to the falls, and all the information we would have needed including parking info was provided. The only drawback was that our stay was on the colder side, granted we did choose to visit during the few coldest days of the season. All in all, great stay and experience, so thank you Sheila!
We had a most warm and gracious welcome from Sheila, and enjoyed our brief stay in the unique and cozy apartment. Thank you so much!
Sheila and Rachel moved from San Francisco in 2011 to Sheila's hometown, Niagara Falls, and spend their time now in art projects, photography, home renovation, dressmaking, collage, and musical performance. We have created a picture-perfect spot that creates a vintage, French feel to a photo shoot. We enjoy offering this space to friends, family, musicians and world travelers.
