About This Listing
Live like a New Yawka! Charming Park Slope Brooklyn studio with shared common area, is great for 1 but will accommodate 2. I do live in the apartment, but have a busy life so I am in and out.
My apartment is laid out in the railroad style of many row houses in New York.
The bedroom has a queen sized bed. It is cooled with a ceiling fan.
I've had a few medical students who have stayed here for extended periods of time, and it has been conducive for them to get around to the local hospitals.
Additionally, I am quiet, and busy, and good company.
Newly renovated apartment with sunny eat-in kitchen. A few steps away from nearest subways F / R / M and G trains less than 20 mins from Manhattan. You may also transfer to the A/C (email hidden)/Metro-Tech or take the MTA buses as well as the Ikea Bus to Ikea and to the famous Fairway Gourmet Grocer Shopping, Trader Joe's by bus on Court Stand Atlantic Ave, and Whole Foods by subway to Union Square from Barclay's Center/Atlantic-Pacific Avenues.
Walking distance to Barclays Arena and Atlantic Shopping centers. Parkslope is a very family-oriented neighborhood and one of the most prized places to live in America. Brooklyn is the new Manhattan! One block away from the New Restaurant Row including Blue Ribbon Americana restaurant, Al di La northern Italian. You might run into a celebrity or two. Possibly even writers and directors who live in the neighborhood. I know I have!

Interaction with Guests
I live in the apartment and am an adjunct professor as well as a doctoral student. I am busy writing papers, however, I enjoy meeting new people. Guests may interact in person as well as by email and cell phone. I will be present during my guests stay.
I know my neighbors by name. There is so much to do here. A walk to Prospect Park is about 15 minutes and my apartment is on a tree-lined street.
The subways are less than a block away from my apartment. Very convenient and in about 20-25 minutes you are in lower Manhattan and Tribeca.
Other Things to Note
I have a beautiful, affectionate and friendly black cat named Gabriella, so guests must like pets and not be allergic to cats! The ideal guest is a visiting tourist or a short term student who is busily enjoying the sights or outside working. Someone inquisitive and adventurous either here to visit or here to study.
I am pretty laid back and like to think I am cool, however, I do have rules and standards that are important to address here.
I do need to list them here as people come from many diverse backgrounds; I want to have clear communication from the start so there are absolutely no misunderstandings. ( "I thought you meant, or "I didn't know" "you didn't specify that" etc.). Treat my home as nicely as you would treat your own. And I welcome you!
No Smoking inside and no illegal drugs and no parties. There are other neighbors (including a quiet, elderly woman) in the building. Please keep the apartment clean, and wash your dishes and not leave in them in the sink. Keep the bathroom neat. Our building has been very lucky in never having unwanted bugs, or critters, so we will prevent inviting them in.
Your living space and closet , dishes and common areas (kitchen, living room, bathroom) are for your use. My room and my closet is for my personal use.
I love meeting new people from around the world and am outgoing and love to laugh. I Look forward to having you as a guest!
See you soon,
