This raw, open concept, loft/studio unit has loads of character and is a unique rental option in a central part of the city. The heritage building complex is made up of an eclectic mix of artists, musicians, woodworkers, designers, small businesses, etc. The unit itself has 13 ft. high ceilings, a wall of exposed brick, painted hardwood floors, and two large west facing windows that provide really nice light throughout the day. Simple, designer furnishings give the space a minimalist feel with lots of room to move around. The sleeping area is tucked away on one end of the unit with a nice, comfortable queen bed. The bathroom has a raised shower, rough concrete floors, and includes a washer (with the dryer in another part of the unit). A small, clean kitchen area with full fridge and electric appliances only (convection oven, hot plate, kettle, electric skillet, microwave - no full oven/stove). There is dedicated wireless internet for the unit.
It's a convenient area of the city to access - very close to 24 hour public transit (King and Bathurst streetcars) and if driving, a short exit off the Gardiner Expressway or Lakeshore Blvd. Daily street pay parking and overnight permits available for those with vehicles.
Dan's unit felt like a unique art studio with modern touches. Overall, I really liked the large space and comfortable beddings. Dan was prompt, informative and made the stay very easy. It was a great memory in Toronto!
Dan's place was great! It met all of our needs:
+close to all of the great Toronto neighborhoods
+cool (since he just invested in an air conditioner)
+wireless internet was available
All in all, the location was great and he was so easy to deal with regarding check in and check out, as well as providing lots of recommendations. I would definitely recommend his place to anyone.
Dan was a great host. He was very flexible and prompt about meeting times and has a great place in a great location. The weather was hot so the apartment was warm, but its not very typical that the weather in Toronto is quite so warm. Would definitely stay here again.
Dan was super nice, even though I haven't had the chance to meet him during my stay. He was very flexible on my check-in and check-out times which was very useful. His loft is in an awesome artists building, very close to downtown. It's perfect if you travel alone or with a friend. I really enjoyed my stay in TO.
Dan's place is in a perfect location, it's a short walk to downtown and Queens St west. We felt really safe walking to and from places late at night, Ossington St is about 10min walk away (great nightlife and restaurants along the way). The loft space is very unique, very clean and has everything you need to make the most of Toronto. We would stay there again :)
One of my favorite spaces I've ever had through Airbnb. Great neighborhood. Thompson hotel is four times the price for a tiny space. Dan's space is huge. It is a four floor walkup, should be the only thing that may hesitate some, but not for me at that price.
Fantastic place, next time im in T.O i will be staying here.
Shower is a little small and the door's a little tough but this is of no importance, Dan is super kind and the loft was SPOTLESSLY clean.
Dan's place was great. The location was convenient and within easy walking distance of many shops and restaurants. It was clean and comfortable with all of the promised "uniqueness".
The reservation was canceled 30 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Dan was an excellent host, very friendly and cordial, and his place could hardly be more ideal! His loft space is big, light-filled, very tastefully decorated (simple, modern, slightly rough aesthetic) and wonderfully located. When I had slight difficulties using WiFi, he was immediately responsive over text and very happy to help... so, yeah, all in all this was a five star experience, and next time I'm in Toronto, I hope to stay here again!
