Casa Buena Vista is a great place. It's close to the tourist destinations but remote enough to enjoy the natural glory of Costa Rica. There's a trail going down to a fantastic beach a few blocks away. The walk down is nice but the walk back up is a little more rigorous. Anita was friendly and gave us detailed directions to the B&B before we arrived. Overall we loved the place and would recommend it.

Anita was kind and helpful and our stay at Casa Buena Vista was awesome. The monkeys on our roof and outside our door made us really feel like we were getting the full Manuel Antonio experience. Anita also helped us set up our shuttle to our next destination. Anita's helper was also very sweet, made us fresh breakfast daily, and changed our towels whenever we asked. The fifteen minute walk to the beach was definitely one of the best aspects of our trip.

Beautiful secluded cottage in the jungle setting but close enough to the beach (a 15min walk down a path, the walk up is a bit longer) it can get a little hot with only having the fans but it wasn't unbearable. Having a kitchen is always a blessing. Saw some sloths and monkeys closer than I did in the park.

Anita was a welcoming host, available when I needed her for questions and the like. The area is perfect, although if you're on foot, it is a steep hill. The cottage is quite serviceable. Breakfast was also very nice. There's a terrific view from the breakfast room.

Beautiful private, secluded cabin. Anita showed us around and even showed us cinnamon and star fruit trees. Great place!

This B&B is located just down the street from the main road through Manuel Antonio. Anita was a great hostess, welcoming us when we arrived and giving us a secure parking spot. She was very helpful with suggestions for local activities and beach options. The room was actually a small cottage with a small kitchen and living room. The cottage has windows without glass, which allows you to enjoy the sounds of the wild life around the surrounding area. Anita provides a great breakfast in a common area where guests are able to interact and meet other guests.

I discover Manuel Antonio 41 years ago after graduating the University of California in Berkeley. Don Melton and myself first did a research project in the National Park and adjoining beaches and decided to make Punta Quepos our home. Don was the local historian and gave educational talks for many groups including National Geografic. We were among the founders of the first Chamber of Tourism in Manue Antonio, founders of ASCONA (Quepos first conservation organization), and have continued to be active in civic and conservations groups to date. I am currently working with a group to establish an animal shelter here in our area. (URL HIDDEN) We worked for many years on the problem of drownings (see page 7). I ran my gift shop LA BUENA NOTA for many years and because of my extensive knowledge of Costa Rica, I can answer most questions about our area and some advice about other tourist destinations in Costa Rica.
