Interaction with Guests
I work and have a lot of outside activities that I engage in but I am always within a phone call if I'm needed. I eat most of my meals at home, sometimes inviting my guests to share the meal if they would like.
My neighborhood has like minded green space or granola type people living in it. We look out for one another and have respect for each other. It is a very quiet neighborhood with very charming houses. A big bonus is the castle up the street with a 35 acre park surrounding it. I have lived here for 9 years and love it.
There is public transportation, via bus service, with the bus stop about a block from my house.
No smoking. Please remove shoes in the house. Floors recently refinished. No eating in the bedrooms. Please use the dining room.
Maureen is a welcoming and gracious host. Her house is immaculate - one of the cleanest airbnb homes we've stayed in. Our room was quiet and comfortable, and we rested very well. We would definitely recommend Maureen's house as a place to stay if you're visiting Lexington.
It is a rare experience to find a host as caring and thoughtful as Maureen. She was welcoming, solicitous, flexible, very mindful of my needs, and went out of her way to make me feel at home. I enjoyed many wonderful conversations with her and I simply feel that I have a new friend in the world! Her home by the way is beautiful, she has spent years decorating and redecorating every square foot; every room is just delightful to be in, and she keeps the house immaculate. The bed in my room was one of those super comfortable beds that is so comfortable it's kind of hard to get out of in the morning, but when you do you feel rejuvenated. Her house is in a quiet and gentle neighborhood fairly close to downtown but away from the hustle and bustle. This is a wonderful place to stay, and Maureen is truly a great person - I look forward to coming back some day with my family.
This place was wonderful and Maureen a great host. She did everything she could to make our stay comfortable. The house is charming and clean with everything you need. It was like staying with a long time friend.
Maureen was a great host. She is warm and welcoming. The place was very conveniently located. The room was comfortable and her house is very beautiful, and clean. She even made breakfast one day!
Maureen was a friendly and welcoming host, providing good conversation, stories, and information about Lexington. The listing was exactly as described, the room comfortable, and homey. The bathroom had a quaint antique tub, but no stand-up shower. I liked the tub, but my husband would have preferred a shower. We could use the living room and make ourselves breakfast in the kitchen. It was like staying with a friend.
The location was convenient to downtown Lexington, in a kind of pocket neighborhood of older, tidy bungalows. This was our first Airbnb experience and we are hooked! So much more interesting and economical than staying at a cookie-cutter motel!
Best airbnb experience ever! I spent a month with Maureen while I was doing a visiting student month for med school. Her home is warm and inviting and very comfortable. Great bed and accommodations. The tub is nice and gets you to take a moment and relax everyday. Maureen is a super nice lady with TONS of energy who knows the city really well. She helped me explore and get out of my box by checking out local music scenes and contra dancing! Don't hesitate to stay with Maureen, you won't regret it!

I have a medium size friendly dog, who spends her time in the back yard and on the enclosed back porch.
