Staying at Federico's house, right along the Via Appia Antica, among beautiful gardens and fascinating roman remains, was truly a privilege. Not only was the place fantastic, but Federico's parents also gave us a great welcome and were extremely nice to us throughout our stay. They greatly contributed to the success of our Roman experience. Many thanks to them!

This stay was the best end of my 2 months travels I could have wished for. Federico and his family are incredibly kind and welcoming and really made this weekend an unforgettable experience. The house is located In the most wonderful garden, the flat is very spacious and properly equipped. I did not miss a thing and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Rome and meeting this wonderful family. I would love to come back to this little paradise very soon. Thank you!!!

The place is wonderful, a real oasis, where you are woken up only by birds' (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN). The hosts are helpful and gracious. The huge garden, sprinkled with gazebos and Roman ruins, is incredible. The only price you have to pay is that it is not near the center, but a bus will take you to the metro station in 10 minutes. It is not near the center but it is in the middle of the beautiful archeological park of Appia Antica.

We had a wonderful stay at the Oasis on the Easter Weekend. A little outside Rome, the place is perfect for a stay of one week or longer. Directly at Via Appia Antica, with some ancient sites in walking distance. Federico and especially his mother and partner were very helpful by any means. Whatever we needed or asked for - they had an answer or solution. The garden was perfect for us and our children, nice and sunny until sunset. We would definitely come back!

This is the best of airbnb. The most genuinely nice people I have ever rented from. Only 20 minutes driving to the historic center. Beautiful garden. I would recommend renting a car, as the bus service is a bit slow for my taste. Linda at the alimentari around the corner is fantastic. You can go for some wine and a cheese plate there in the afternoon. The beauty of the countryside, but just minutes from downtown Rome. I highly recommend this place.

We stayed for 5 nights in August. Absolutely lovely garden which is verdant and amazingly damp. Many shady trees and places to sit or eat. Parrots flying around, a hedgehog under my garden chair one evening and a number of baby lizards in the house which delighted all of us. Lovely decorative style in Italian countryside theme. The quiet area has many places to visit within walking distance and is a pleasure to wander around. Easy to get into Rome by bus and metro or to places off the ring road, such as Ostia Antica, in a car. Welcoming and helpful hosts. I couldn't say it was perfect as a few things didn't work, but it was such a lovely place we still felt it was well worth it.

It is just impossible to describe this amazing place in a few words. My parents, boyfriend and I had such an unforgettable stay of 5 days in the Oasis of Rome. The warm welcome of Federico's parents and all the help during our stay was great. The house is very well located, at one of the oldest streets in Rome 'Appia Antica'. It is a great 'green' escape from the crowded city. (there is a busconnection to the metro, very easy!, and taxi is cheap) One thing is for sure; We will come back!

I've traveled a lot and seen many different places. Rome is the city I love the most. Why? I love culture and authentic places. I don't like traffic and noisy, crowded places and therefore I consider my homes as oases surrounded by culture, nature and harmony.

I am a tech entrepreneur living between London and Rome. I am Co-Founder of 2 tech startups and I am director of a startup incubator in Rome. I like research and for this reason I am also doing a PhD with a focus on crowd-sourcing.

In my free time I love traveling, surfing and painting.
