Description

The space

Welcome to Park Slope! Close walking distances to so many wonderful places like Prospect Park, Greenwood Cemetary, lovely local bars(including a great new beergarden with outdoor bocce and indoor fireplaces), restaurants, boutiques, cafes! Very close to the new Barclays Center where you can see great concerts and games!

The apartment is a 2 bedroom, one of which will be yours. The space is bright with lots of windows, a fully equipped kitchen which you are welcome to use. Cable TV in the common space and internet of course.

Your room has a full sized bed and I will provide you with clean sheets and towels. The bathroom is shared.

If you are renting a car, parking is rarely an issue. However, you don't need to because it's about a 5 min walk to the F,G,R trains and can be in the city or williamsburg in 15-20 min. I think there's enough to do around here that you won't need to go very far!

I grew up in Brooklyn and have a lot of great insight on places to go, where to eat, how to get there, can't miss places and under the radar hidden gem types throughout NYC! And as my guest I would love to share this information with you!

I'm not home very often, but when I am I enjoy cooking or watching a good movie. My boyfriend lives here as well, but he is traveling quite often. We have a Jack Russell that splits her time between my house and my mothers depending on my schedule. So if you're not much a fan of dogs, let me know so I can arrange for her to stay with mom(she is quite cute tho).

Looking forward to meeting you!

We booked because she had good reviews and the pictures were great but it was not like that at all. She wouldn't reply to us, it took her weeks to finally give us a reply. Once we got there, the apartment was really untidy, she wouldn't wash up her own dishes in all the days we spent there, they were always piled up in the sink. And the most surreal thing was that we ran out of toilet paper TWICE and we had to insist to her several times to buy more. We could buy some, of course, but we had to use napkins. Unacceptable altogether. I cancelled the booking 5 days before completing the stay to go to a hotel.

This place is great! You can't be the location, as it is right near a bunch of restaurants and places to grab a beer. On top of that, you're only a couple of blocks from the nearest train station. Justyna's place is clean and quiet and the perfect spot for a Brooklyn/NYC getaway. Highly recommend.

Our experience was just fine, the apartment and the room itself were clean, though not really spacious ;) that wasn't a problem since we were sightseeing all day each day of our stay. The neighbourhood felt safe, no issues here in our opinion. We would generally recommend Justyna's place.

Perfect location for me to walk back alone late at night and feel safe. Appreciated the clean apt and very comfy bed. Justyna works nights so we only saw each other 2ce in 11 days, but I was there to visit family so just needed a nice place to sleep. I enjoyed the couple of chats we had; Justyna grew up in Brooklyn so is very familiar with the area. The apt buildings are older, so lighting might be dimmer than what you're used to - bring your reading glasses ha! I will definitely stay here again - Thanks Justyna! Also I very much appreciated that the 3 keys all functioned readily for me; this has been a big negative in the past with other locations.

Justyna is a very nice person. Her apartment is bright and roomy. The location was perfect for my needs. As mentioned in a couple of other reviews Justyna needs to improve her communication before a guest's arrival. The week before I arrived I tried emailing and calling to get check-in information. It wasn't until I emailed her on my way to the airport that I got a response. This creates stress for the traveler. Also mentioned in a previous review, the mattress is saggy with creaky springs. Need curtain on window in bedroom. There is a lack of privacy from other apartments. Very dim overhead light in bathroom. Can barely see.

This didn't end up being a very pleasant stay for us, compared to other Airbnbs we've stayed in. Justyna originally told us she'd be home from work at 10pm (fine by our schedule), but after a few follow-up texts throughout the night, didn't arrive back to let us in until 12:30am. The apartment was clean and had the amenities specified, but our bedroom's overhead light had broken and wasn't fixed for the 3 nights we stayed. The bed itself was pretty uncomfortable - an older spring mattress with a dramatic droop in the center, covered in a fitted sheet and a thin twin-sized comforter inside a full-sized duvet cover (hiding its size). The neighborhood also didn't feel very safe, with the shared space in the building reeking of cigarette smoke and an autobody shop being run on the street (with no garage) nearby. To her credit, Justyna was perfectly nice, the wifi worked well, and the shower had great pressure and hot water. All in all though, this isn't somewhere we'd stay again.

My daughter Kavitha stayed with Jutyna and this is her review - Justyna is a great host and has a spacious apartment. Although she is not at home much, she responds quickly to texts and is quite helpful. I liked that I could use the kitchen to my convenience. The location is close to the R and F subway lines and is a safe neighborhood. All aspects in the listing were accurate. I would recommend her place.
