The Space

Welcome to Park Slope! Close walking distances to so many wonderful places like Prospect Park, Greenwood Cemetary, lovely local bars(including a great new beergarden with outdoor bocce and indoor fireplaces), restaurants, boutiques, cafes! Very close to the new Barclays Center where you can see great concerts and games!

The apartment is a 2 bedroom, one of which will be yours. The space is bright with lots of windows, a fully equipped kitchen which you are welcome to use. Cable TV in the common space and internet of course.

Your room has a full sized bed and I will provide you with clean sheets and towels. The bathroom is shared.

If you are renting a car, parking is rarely an issue. However, you don't need to because it's about a 5 min walk to the F,G,R trains and can be in the city or williamsburg in 15-20 min. I think there's enough to do around here that you won't need to go very far!

I grew up in Brooklyn and have a lot of great insight on places to go, where to eat, how to get there, can't miss places and under the radar hidden gem types throughout NYC! And as my guest I would love to share this information with you!

I'm not home very often, but when I am I enjoy cooking or watching a good movie. My boyfriend lives here as well, but he is traveling quite often. We have a Jack Russell that splits her time between my house and my mothers depending on my schedule. So if you're not much a fan of dogs, let me know so I can arrange for her to stay with mom(she is quite cute tho).

Looking forward to meeting you!

  • Great location! Love Park Slope as a hub to great shops in the area, Williamsburg and Manhattan. Very close to the G, F and R trains, so you can easily get to Manhattan, Coney Island and WIlliamsburg real quick! Just a small walk away from Prospect Park. Justyna was totally accommodating and keen to help with any question about the area.

  • Jystyna is very friendly and a good host. She knows perfectly the neighborhood and can give some advices. The appartment and the room are great, we had a good time there. It's clean and comfortable. We could use the apartment and the kitchen as we wanted. Besides she owns a very cool restaurant close to her apartment :) it has fulfilled all our expectations and we were able to spend a good time to visit New York.

  • My husband and I had a most comfortable stay at Justyna's place. It's cute and immaculately clean and in a great location. Justyna is friendly, helpful and very rarely home, leaving visitors with ample privacy. Highly recommended!

  • Justyna's place was just right for me. She met me even though I was late and took the time to chat and get to know me. She works in the evening and as I was out all day I didn't see her again except to say goodby. The place was clean, room was large and the bed was comfy. Great price, lovely host! Recommend!

  • Justyna: Friendly and open minded! Sadly she was so busy that we saw her only a few times. Right on the first day she gave us a lift and we ate a very tasty hamburger at the restaurant that she owns. Tip! Try the veggie one :)

Room: a absolutly private room with a double bed. Very quite. The heating was sadly not adjustable. A bit hot at night ;) The kitchen was fine too. We could use the fridge and cooked pasta 2 times. No problems!

Neighborhood: nice place. friendly. 5min walk to subway trains F, G, N. Direct connection to manhattan! A little shop around the corner.

  • My needs for this stay were a little different from most travelers since I am a "local" and needed temporary quarters for a bit, but my stay with Justyna was everything i had hoped for - she was a great host, friendly, warm, a big fan of her neighborhood and ready with lots of suggestions. She wasn't actually home too much while I was there, but the time we were together was comfortable and easy, and actually more than one could expect from someone sharing their home with a stranger. The space was clean and bright and pretty close to the F/G and R trains, so access to Manhattan is good. The bedroom was pretty big by Brooklyn standards, and had decent closet space. The neighborhood is a little removed (but not too far) from the "scene" in Park Slope, but Gowanus has some interesting music venues and you can walk to the Whole Foods on 3rd St. - and 9th St has a lot of conveniences. It is also a very quiet block and building.
    I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Justyna !!

  • We had a film playing in a film festival in Brooklyn and we needed a place close by. I checked all the hotels around the area and found them to be way out of my price range. I went on airbnb and found Justyna's place fit perfectly. It was only a couple blocks a way to the screening. We really only needed a place to sleep and tried to be out as much as possible although we did come back during mid day and watched a little TV. Location is close to the subway and there a tons of places to go to eat and shop. Its quite convenient. The place is spacious and our room had a comfortable bed and a big closet. Also, Justyna was a great host and gave us information on where to go for food and thrift stores. We did an early check in which was great because we both came in on red eye flights. I was really grateful she allowed us to check in earlier than any hotel. Her dog Seya (sp?) pronounced like "See Ya" was the most lovable dog ever. She sat on my lap while we watched TV. The shower and sink's water gets hot really fast so be careful and the place is relatively quiet during the night. My experience was really positive. I do recommend making sure that you do stuff during the day because Justyna works at night so she is sleeping during the day.

    Totalmente recomendable.
