My husband and I and our 2 children had a fantastic 3 night stay at Laurent's riad in early April. Location was perfect so we could come and go during the day, lots of space including access to lovely roof terrace. Highly recommend lunch prepared by the housekeeper - trip to the market to buy supplies was an experience and the food was the best we had eaten on our trip. Laurent was hospitable and helpful and we felt very welcome in his home.
Beautiful home! Great location very close to the main square. Laurent was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and the terrace was beautiful! Would absolutely recommend this! Thank you!
We (three ladies) had a lovely stay at Laurent's riad! The space is tastefully designed and location was super - very close to main sights / some good restaurants, and in a quiet nook away from the artery of the Medina. Laurent was a gracious host we enjoyed having a chat with on our stay, and his cleaning lady helped keep the quarters spotless (we also enjoyed her breakfast!).
My aunt and myself had a wonderful stay in this delightful and charming raid.
It all went very smoothly right from the beginning when we were picked up by the transport Laurent had arranged.
The Riad was beautiful and cozy. It was well tucked away from the busy souks but in an ideal location for getting to all main attractions. (Less than 5mins to the square)
On our first day Laurent showed us through the medina and helped us get our bearings. He was there to offer helpful advice and suggestions. The maid also provided us with lovely breakfasts on the roof terrace as well as an authentic moroccan meal on our last night. The food was incredible!!!!!
The maid also kept the place spotless and although she couldn't speak English was very bubbly and friendly.
I have nothing but great things to say about this raid and the owner. I would strongly advise you stop looking and to book this little gem immediately!! Such good value for money! Thank you Laurent for making our stay unforgettable.
A gem in the hart of Medina. Beautiful cozy house, with a great Host, Laurent, which make
My stay so Enjoyable! The house have a perfect comfort, spotless, with all the beauty of a traditional marrakesh home.
breakfast was served every morning by Bouchra with her perfect and tender attention, which make you feel Just like home. Totally
Recommended and no
Doubt to stay at laurent's home next time.
We had an amazing stay at Laurent's apartment, although we never met him. Great location really close to the big square, lovely roof terrace and nicely decorated. We had a transfer from the airport organised for us which was very useful. The best part about staying here was definitely Bouchera, she made sure it was always tidy, prepared a delicious breakfast every day and made us dinner one night after we went with her to the market. Completely recommend anyone to stay here.
We stayed for 2 nights and there were positives and negatives to the Riad. Most of the reviews mentioned Laurent being able to give helpful advice about Marrakech but sadly we never met him so didn't benefit from this. The maid is very nice and we had two lovely breakfasts, but she doesn't speak English. We were told a taxi had been organised to collect us from the airport, but this never materialised so we had to call them again when we arrived.
In terms of the Riad, the bathroom was beautiful, and the room was clean but small. I'm not sure I agree with the description of it as a 'suite' as the seating area is separate to the room and for joint use. The location is good being just a few minutes from the main square.
Overall, I felt the room was a little overpriced for what you got, and I probably wouldn't stay here again.
Sorry not to be there during this time, but I didn't know that I was also rent with the room. As an international consultant I will charge more my time spent . Concerning the driver , he was waiting for you but somebody called Rebecca came to him . He drove her to my house . It was a misunderstanding , but do not forget that Morocco is a french and arabic speaking language. When I go to England I speak english
Concerning the bedroom and the price you paid, the description and pictures has been made by AirbnB photographer and not by me. I am sorry to say that it is a suite instead of a small apartment that you enjoyed completely .That is true that you may be don't know riads in Morocco, Rooms are small. If you want a nice suite there is nice hotel like Mamounia where you will pay at least 500€ the suite or other riads, where the suite is around 300€ the night instead of 60€.
I am happy that you will not come and stay again
