Situated in a very elegant building with lift of Piazza San Paolo alla Regola, this spacious and bright apartment is ideal to host up a large family or a group of friends. You will certainly like very much this central area for its peacefulness.
Once the building was a convent and you can easily notice it from details as the beautiful stone doorposts. Parquet floor and high wooden ceilings give a warm touch to this spacious and bright apartment. The living area features several windows with a lovely view of the surroundings, a library, a large sofa, a dormeuse, a table for magazines and a 32″ TV per Satellite, with DVD player. Internet wifi access is a very comfortable amenity, especially for the most demanding of you. The sofa turns into a comfortable sofa bed in case of need. The dining area, with a table with chairs, is located right between the living area and the kitchen.
The kitchen is wide and well equipped with a gas stove, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, toaster. On the upper level, you will find a washing machine, an iron and a ironing board.
The first master bedroom is located on the lower level, featuring a king size bed, nights tables, abat-jour, and several wardrobes.
The second bedroom, located on the upper level, has two twin beds, which may be together in order to make a king size bed, or separated, in case of need. Here, you will find air conditioning.
Finally the two elegant bathrooms, one with shower, the other with a bathtub with a showerhead, complete the apartment.
This apartment is recommended for families, as the neighborhood is residential and quiet. It is a lovely atmosphere, homy atmosphere!
The apartment at Piazza San Paolo alla Regola 34 was perfect for our family. It was spacious, well-maintained and well-equipped, bright and airy with many windows opening onto fine views of the "real" Rome.
Wonderful apartment in a wonderful old convent in a great part of town! Lorenzo could not have been more friendly and helpful. There were a few teething problems on arrival: the taxi shuttle service from the airport assumes all booked guests are arriving at the same time, so a taxi was ordered for six, even though we were only two at the beginning, and despite my having sent an email the previous day explaining this. There is nowhere on the web page to state how may guests need the shuttle. The driver was also not present when we arrived, which necessitated a few phone calls and a wait of over half an hour, and no account was taken of the fact that we had to wait half an hour for checked bags to arrive on the carrousel. The Wifi was intermittent and so unreliable. The iron was missing, but a new one appeared the next day. The website implies the apartment is air conditioned, but in fact it is only the upper bedroom which is cool, and for the first five days this was not functioning, which made sleeping in August almost impossible up there. These should have been checked before arrival I think. Also, I think there should be more than two sets of keys, as this made organising coming and going betwenn several people complicated.
Apart from this, all wonderful! Thank you!
The apartment was very large and clean and nicely decorated. We loved the location because it is in a beautiful area of Rome and we could walk everywhere. There were six of us traveling and we had plenty of room. The two bathrooms were a must! Everything worked well in the apartment. We just loved everything and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
