Super hôte, très généreux et amical. Un plaisir, merci pour tout Laurent !
J'avais peur que l'appartement soit trop bruyant, mais ce n'était pas le cas, du tout.
Third time staying here, and it's been perfect every time.
As it says in the description, Laurent's appartment is very cosy, clean and nicely decorated. We really enjoyed our stay there. Although we were four people staying in this flat (one bed is the convertible sofa in the living room) we felt very comfortable. The e-mail correspondence with Laurent was very nice and all our questions were answered immediately. We also want to thank him for his recommendation of a nearby French restaurant where we enjoyed a great dinner. Check-in and check-out also went very smoothly and without any problems. It was great to have the train station (Gare de l'Est) and several metro and vélib stations in only a few minutes walking distance so that we could move easily around in the city. We absolutely recommend staying at this flat.
Nice one bedroom apartment, quality pieces of furniture and well selected accessories. It doesn't seem a flat furnished with the purpose of renting out: you can feel Laurent took care in setting his own place. He was very nice to us from the pre-booking answering promptly to our questions (We knew it was going to be cold and asked him about the heating, he ensured me it warked well and so it did). Laurent welcomed us at the arrival and gave us plenty of information. The neighborhood is not an elegant one, but there's plenty of bakeries and a Monoprix right in front of the main door. 3 metro stations are very close, one of them just around the corner. The kitchen is pretty small and probably not suitable for a longer staying if you are planning to cook meals for 3/4 people, but the flat is clean and perfect as a base to explore Paris.
Merci
Nice clean apartment in lively neighbourhood. Worked well for us. Laurent gave us a very warm welcome and was very helpful introducing us to his apartment and to Paris. :)
This is the second time I have stayed at this apartment. It is a sweet apartment, tastefully decorated and very uncluttered. In a great location with good restaurants, cafes on your doorstep.
The sofa bed is in good condition and is very comfortable!
Hope to be back !
This is a great little apartment. We stayed 2 adults and 2 children. Laurent was very helpful and kind. The apartment was exactly as described. Close to 2 subway stations and the Gar du Nord. (easy to get to airport on our way home). The neighbourhood is very colourful. The streets to/from the station in the evenings were a bit overwhelming for the kids as they were crowded and lots of people talking loudly and handing out flyer type information around the station. Lots of different nationalities and speciatly food stores. For anyone that knows Vancouver, Canada - I would compare it to staying on Commerical Drive. It was quite hot when we were in Paris and the flat doesn't have any airconditioning. This wasn't really a problem except that when we had the big windows open it was quite noisy at night. There are many people just hanging out on the street. This was fun to watch but noisy to sleep.
All in all, a great Paris experience. Nice to be in a flat where we had a small kitchen. There is a grocery store right across the street as well. The Juhles Bakery just down the road had the very best sweets we ate in all of Paris.
Thank you Laurent.
Laurent's apartment is marvelous, - with many wonderful pretty things, very elegant. We like it. In the street there are tasty bakeries and butchery (1 min from the apartment!). Location is perfect to us: some metro and RER stations is a few minutes on foot - so it's no problem to get everything you want to visit in Paris. Laurent was communicative and easy to contact. His neighbors were very affable people.
The apartment is a great option, I'm sure, for those who want to live like a Parisian, i.e. not as a tourist in Paris :)
Laurent's flat was great. It was extremely clean and in a great neighborhood. The flat was walking distance to some great restaurants and bars. There were also numerous Metro lines within 5-10 minutes of the flat.
Laurent was also extremely friendly and helpful. When we arrived, he took the time to show us around his place and tell us about the neighborhood.
I'd definitely recommend this flat to anyone that is looking to stay in a nice flat in a cool neighborhood that is not too touristy.
