Our stay at Riad al Fara was great. Charlotte was not present but the manager of the riad even walked over to the square to meet with my group, to make sure we could navigate the maze of streets to find the riad. They also managed to arrange car rides to the airport for a reasonable price, and change the schedule slightly at the last minute, despite it being in a heavily odd hour (Saturday morning at 4am). The riad included a terrace and breakfast was also included. Overall, great experience. Close walk to the square.
We (as a party of 7) had a great stay at this Riad. The location was really convenient as it really was only a 5 minutes walk to get to the centre of the main square. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned every day. Breakfast was such a nice treat to have every morning, cooked by the lovely Aisha. Youssef (the housekeeper) was also really helpful and friendly with providing directions and arranged a trip to the desert for us. Charlotte was also able to answer any questions we had about the stay or Marrakech in general before our stay. All in all, this Riad was an amazing place to stay - thoroughly recommended!
Youseff and Aisha were amazing. Made us feel very welcome, nothing was too mush trouble.
The riad was clean and the layout was good with lovely communal spaces. We enjoyed relaxing in the courtyard where is was cool and also on the rooftop in the sun.
Breakfast was good and they were happy to provide me with just fruit.
Our room with two single beds was a bit small but we spent so little time there it really didn't matter. We peeked into the other rooms and they looked great.
Close and convenient for the square, but not too close, so the atmosphere in the surrounding streets was quieter.
Youssef was waiting for us in the main square, after arranging for a cab to pick us up at the airport. We immediately felt at home at the riad. You go suddenly from a really hot, bustling square to the cool oasis that is Riad al Faras. There are lots of trees and a tiny pool you can dip your feet into. We had a room with a double bed and it had a nice sized bathroom and lots of cupboard space. The riad has a rooftop where we had breakfast every morning (included in the price) and it's great to sunbathe and lounge on for when Marrakech gets too hectic. The location is perfect, it's safe and it's just a few minutes' walk from Djemaa el Fna. It's also really near the Bahia Palace, Saadian tombs and Kasbah neighborhood which is great (have the camel burger at Clock Cafe, it's legendary). The rooms are cleaned every day and the staff are really nice. It's the perfect place to retreat, relax and rewind in a busy city filled with noise and people! Other neighborhoods are also all only about 10-15 minutes away by cab, and you're close to the airport.
A WONDERFUL place to call home while in Marrakech! Charlotte made our trip incredibly easy and fun! This was our home base to our trip to Morocco and Charlotte helped us book our transport from the airport, 3-day desert trip and let us leave our things while we went to Essaouira for a day trip. Youssef, the building manager, was extremely helpful as well - going out of his way to show us to the main square and make sure we found our travel company ok for the desert trip. The room was very comfortable - hot shower, super comfy mattress, gorgeous courtyard and rooftop terrace. Highly recommend!
