The location is fantastic!
Quitest street and easy to get anywhere.
The location is perfect! You are literately in the heart if rome. From here, 20 minute walk to the north to reach piazza popolo, south 20 minute to the colosseum, west 20 minute to the Vatican.
Just downstairs there is a pretty good restaurant, an even better one is just around the corner (walk on the left around the building in front of this apartment).
Simone is very responsive and our check in is very smooth, he helped us with the big luggages.
The place has two bathrooms, which is good for a big party so you don't let one person hold up others business.
The place seems a little run down. The rugs seem dirty or may its just the color. One of the dinning chair's seat is broken with a big hole covered by the cushion, so if you are not careful you will sit eight through the hole.
The towers have some kind of sour smell, although it looks clean.
One ridiculous thing is the place only two rolls of toilet paper (one in each bathroom) and one trash bag. When you have a large party and stay in the apartment for 5 nights. These quickly ran out. And Simone said he's only responsible for the initial supply. It's a minor annoyance, I would suggest just stock the place with enough supply, it's only a few euros and it makes the guests life much better. When you are on vacation, you don't want to worry about finding supermarket to replenish toiletry.
My friends and I had the most turbulent beginning to our short, 3-day trip to Rome. Due to the fog in Amsterdam we missed our connecting flight to Rome. After learning that air controllers in Rome were on strike, we were forced to fly to Pisa instead just to find out that our luggage was lost. We rented a car and drove to Rome. None of speaks a word of Italian and we had to negotiate toll roads with no cash and only telepass lanes open, etc. Throughout the whole ordeal, Simone's representative Giorgio was very helpful, kind and available at all times. He assisted with directions and navigation, payment of tolls, rental car return and myriad other questions along the way. He stayed up until very late when we finally reached Rome, to let us in. During our stay in the Orange Apartment Giorgio took every call we made and answered every question. He was the most pleasant and accommodating host ever. The apartment was comfortable and super conveniently located. Giorgio made sure that we had a coffee maker, coffee, sugar and cream because I asked in advance. Having a restaurant downstairs with great food and best service was an extra bonus.
The only reason I gave 4 stars is because of the horrible start of the trip where we had no clean clothes, no tooth brushes or makeup for two days. Otherwise, we loved Rome and definitely consider renting the Orange Apartment again!
Appartamento in ottima posizione, ordinato e pulito. Un pò scarno nell'arredamento e nelle stoviglie, ma comunque un posto da tenere in considerazione
Great location, smooth experience. Very friendly and helpfull owner. Highly recomeded.
This is a fairly large and cozy apartment in an unbeatable location.
In case you have never been to Rome. This is the location you want to be. It is just about 150 meters away from la Fontana di Trevi. It is in the historical part of the city, surrounded by monuments, and not too far from a Metro station.
The apartment is fairly standard. It is quite large. It has two bedrooms with double beds. The bed in one of these bedrooms is actually made out of two twin beds neatly put together, so I guess it should be possible to split it into two single beds. There is also a large sofa bed in the living room. The bedroom in the back is quieter than the one up front.
The kitchen is small. I doubt you plan to use it much anyway. There is a restaurant right downstairs, called "Piccola Arancia" which is great. By the way, be careful when dining in Rome. There are amazingly good restaurants. There are also many which are scams for tourists. And there is hardly anything in between.
The apartment was fairly clean, although we should say that we saw some ants in the bathroom, probably entering from the balcony.
Simone's apartment was clean, quiet, comfortable -- just right for our family of four. The location is great - steps from the Trevi Fountain. We found a great deli/grocery around the corner, as well as excellent coffee and gelato. Downstairs from the apartment is very good restaurant as well. In early July we really appreciated the two air conditioners. I would certainly stay there again.
We loved the flat. It was clean, spacious and in a great location. It's just around the corner from the Trevi Fountain. There's also a restaurant just below the flat that's delicious! It's also an easy walk to the spanish steps, the capital and colosseum as well as Vatican City.
Fyi- It's on the 3rd floor of a walk up. We were able to leave our double stroller for our 2 year old and 2 month old in the hall downstairs, so it was very easy.
The stay at Fontana di Trevi - Orange Apartment was truly amazing.
Great location just behind di Trevi. Quiet street, close to everything.
Supermarket two blocks away.
The apartment is very clean, has everything you need to make your stay in Rome enjoyable.
We were allowed the early check in even though we called at the very last minute.
A great location, with a great host...and a wonderful little restaurant below. Simone was very polite and helpful, easy to get ahold of, and very accommodating when we needed him on the first day. The main shower/tub only had a partial glass shower enclosure, so water ended up on the floor...but...no problem...we just wiped up and hung the mat and towels outside on the rack daily. The second bathroom was very tiny, with a toilet in the same enclosure, but the rain shower in it was lovely. The bedrooms and living area were both big and comfortable. The apartment was very quiet. We would stay there again!
