Other Things to Note
Great restaurant: Frau Mittenmang is one of the best on Prenzlauerberg.
Please be quiet after 22.00 - and say "Hallo" to the neighbors.
Although I haven't meet with Lasse, communication was perfect. Key pickup was very conveniently arranged. Lasse checked regularly if we were ok and made sure we enjoyed staying at his place. The room was spacy and linen towels were all prepared for us. He gave us a long list of things to do and his recommendation of good places in the neighbourhood. Would definitely recommend his place if you are a group of 4 or 5.
Tres belle decoration.
The apartment was as described in the listing, clean, functional, and very comfortable for 4 people sharing. It's located near to a tram stop, but we often walked to the subway, which was about 15 - 20 mins. from the apartment. Berlin's tram and subway system is a bit complicated, especially if you don't understand German! The surrounding area of Prenzlauer Berg is packed with small cafes, coffee bars, and unique shops. The bakery across the street has cheap German breakfasts (breads, meats, and cheese) to start the day.
We picked up and dropped off the key for the apartment from a restaurant nearby, so we never met Lasse during the course of our stay. He kindly let us leave our luggage in the flat on the last day, although he asked us to wash and hang the bed linens we used, which was a bit of a surprise, as we thought that is what the cleaning fee is for. And finally - make sure to bring your own hairdryer, as the flat unfortunately isn't equipped with one. Overall though, we'd recommend the flat and would stay there again in the future!
We had a good extended weekend om Berlin at this appartment. Given the price, the location is perfect with the M12 tram stopping close to the front door and with bakers and supermarkets just down the street.
