The apartment is in a great location with a 10 minute walk to Rialto and very close to San Stae water bus - where Anna met us. The kitchen is pretty basic, but the restaurants near by were great & not as touristy as near San Marco. We loved the vegetarian food at La Zucca. The main living room is large & airy, with views over the roof tops. And the main bedroom is comfortable with good air conditioning. All in all a great apartment & an enjoyable break in Venice.

This is a great location due to the ease of access on a flat footpaths directly from the San Stae vaporetto stop. You need to go up two set of steps (about 25 in total). The only minor challenge is taking the suitcases up, but once that is done, it is not a problem. Anna is an excellent host, welcomed us warmly and provided get detail about things to do and see etc. Beds and pillows are a very personal thing, but a little uncomfortable for me as quite hard. I asked Anna if she could provide a different pillow and it 2 brand new ones were there when we got back. It was very much appreciated.

Anna was a wonderful host! She greeted us at the ferry station in person and walked to the apartment, which was just a few minutes away. The apartment was clean and spacious, with all basic amenities and great roof terrace (having a morning coffee there and listening for the bells all over the city going off at 7:30 every evening - were few of unbeatable authentic experiences we had while in Venice!) Located on a quieter island yet with easy access to the rest of the city and with such a great host as Anna (who gave us a lot of valuable tips on what to see, where to eat and shop, and how to get around), we could not have dreamed of a better vacation in Venice!

Anna was a perfect host meeting us at the vaporetto stop and taking us to our apartment. She was most gracious in sharing all important and helpful information. Maps and tourist info were available. We loved the location as it was very quite but readily accessible to all areas of Venice. When you are ready to head to the airport just catch the Alilaguna at the San Stae vaporetto stop and you are on your way!
