The space

I have one room in my two-bedroom, cozy and furnished apartment available to a reliable, tidy person. Your stay must be a minimum of 4 nights. We can work out a deal for long-term, which would also require a fully refundable deposit.

This is a 1 bedroom in a beautiful and cozy, historic Greenpoint flat, located on the same block as the G train at Nassau, 2 blocks from McCarren Park and a quick 10 minutes to the L train at Bedford.

Accommodations: 1 bedroom available in my 2 bedroom flat for 1 person, no couples. There is a clean, tiled bathroom, a large eat-in kitchen. Wireless internet is included. The room is quiet and cozy. It is furnished with a bed, night stand, selves, closet, table and chair. I keep my home very clean and tidy and appreciate the same from my guests. My place is very quiet and has nice light. You can hear birds chirping in the morning. It also has a beautifully manicure backyard. There's a window that gives onto the kitchen from the room. The room is very sound isolated regardless and gets great light from morning into the early afternoon. It's a charming architectural feature. Linens provided.

Location: Greenpoint is the perfect location for convenience to the city with all the comforts one needs close by and a lot of historic charm. The apartment is on the same block as the Nassau G train stop and scenic walk to the L train and the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The neighborhood has everything you need within a 5 block radius, including 2 organic grocery stores, vegetable stands, many restaurants & bars, natural dry cleaners, unique shops, pharmacies, a bowling alley, flea markets, yoga studios and more. You can get to midtown from the G train within 25 minutes door to door and the L train takes you to 14th St within about the same time.

About me: I am an artist and educator from the south in my 30's making my way in the big city. I have a pet bunny too who lives in my studio.

Vanessa was very pleasant and communication was very good.

Vanessa is very welcoming and pleasant. She gave me a brief tour of the apartment when I moved in. The room looks like in the picture. The apartment (the room, bathroom, kitchen etc.) is very clean. I had a pleasant time staying here.

Vanessa's place is very clean and tidy. It's right above the vibrant street but absolutely quiet. It's not spacious but has just everything you need. Vanessa is helpful in providing travel guides and she even drew me a map :D The room is connected to the artistic kitchen and Vanessa gives you enough privacy. I like the comfortable pillow. Overall, it's a happy experience.

The apartment is very well located and the room is quiet. Vanessa was away during most of my stay but she kept in touch to make sure everything was alright. She also woke up very early on a Sunday morning to open the door as I took a red-eye to come to NY... I'll definitely reach out to her again when I come back to NY.

The location of the apartment is great for those who would like to explore Brooklyn and beyond (the G stop is on the same block as the flat). The area felt very safe, even in the later hours, as people frequent restaurants and bars in Greenpoint throughout the day. The apartment itself felt surprisingly quiet; it is so much more peaceful than most of Manhattan! Vanessa is nice and gives you a lot of privacy. One thing I would note is that there is a wall opening between the kitchen area and the bedroom. It's not a big deal, as Vanessa rarely spends any time in that section of the apartment, but just something that might not be very apparent from the pictures/listing. Overall, this is a very good option at the price.

I'm a visual artist and educator living in Brooklyn, NY. I'm originally from Nashville, TN. Traveling is reviving and inspiring for me. I enjoy seeing how people live elsewhere and there's no better way to do that than by enjoying the hospitality of the locals.
