The Neighborhood

The Unit is only a 2 minute walk to the water. At night its very quiet and safe. We have a 24 hour convenient store across the street, a pharmacy near hand and a great grocery store just a block away.

Getting around

There is a bus stop right in front of the lobby entrance. Also, the sky train station is only a block away that can take you to the airport.

  • Salar's home was absolutely fantastic. I was in town with another couple for a convention and couldn't have asked for a better location. I was no more than a 5 minute walk to the convention center with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops along the way. Everything we wanted to do and see was either within walking distance or a short cab ride or sky train away, the location really was great. The condo itself is beautiful, the floor to ceiling glass windows really made the view from the 33rd floor all the more amazing, looking right out onto Stanley Park and the water. We'll definitely be staying here for future trips to Vancouver! Thanks Salar!

  • My stay in Vancouver was just over a week and I was a little nostalgic for 'my' view when I left the apartment for the last time. (The sub penthouse has an amazing aspect over Coal Harbour.)

    I came to Vancouver for a conference at the convention centre and the apartment couldn't have been more convenient. Not only for the conference, but in close proximity to Gastown, Yaletown and Downtown entertainment districts. Stanley Park is an easy walk or cycle too (and beautiful as well!).

    The apartment is spacious and having access to a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities lent itself to a lot more flexibility and comfort than a hotel room. There is a fantastic local supermarket on the next street - no need to have a car at all!

    I stayed in the apartment alone, but with two bed rooms and two bathrooms and a good amount of living space, four people could easily stay and not feel cramped.

    Salar is a very accommodating host and was very helpful with check in processes and offering advice about the local area. The bottle of wine on the kitchen table was a very nice touch!

  • I stayed here with my family for four days, the condo is quite spacious housing 5 of us. We enjoyed waking up to the spectacular views every morning. The place was very well kept and clean. I would definately stay here next time around and recommend this to the next visitors.

  • My colleague and I stayed at Salar’s apartment for a business trip. The purpose of our travel was to attend and exhibit at a conference, which took place at the Vancouver Convention Centre. The apartment had an incredible view of Coal Harbor with amazing access to downtown Vancouver. It was a very clean space overall and my colleague was impressed with the great showerheads.

    The only downside was that neither of the beds were quite as comfortable as we would have liked and there were some personal belongings in the apartment along with personal food in the refrigerator. There was also no cable television, which was not an issue for our purposes but curiously absent. Regardless, I would recommend Salar’s apartment to anyone travelling to Vancouver who wants to be close to downtown and have a great view.

  • Salar was a great host who made it really easy to get into his place and feel welcome in Vancouver. And the apartment......just perfect for my small family. Well-appointed, amazing view, everything you would need for a short stay, and if you want to be in the West End the location could not be better. I would definitely recommend.

  • Thanks so much Sal! We had a great stay at your place in Vancouver and were so grateful for the amazing location, stellar views, and hospitality. This was the perfect set up for myself and my boss as we each had our own bedroom and bathroom, and a great living room looking out on the water where we could check emails and do a bit of work in the morning. We never cooked but were so close to great restaurants and cafes and really had a chance to explore the city. Sal was very accommodating to our arrival and departure schedules which was very helpful as well. All in all a great experience. Thanks so much!!

  • The cleanliness of the apartment was disappointing at best. It was obvious there had been no cleaning service in at least a week, and there was grime in both the showers. The microwave was splattered inside with some kind of sauce. We did not contact the host regarding this because in my view, we paid a cleaning fee, and the place should be clean on our arrival. I should not have to lose a day of my $300/night rental waiting for a cleaning service to fix the situation.

    We also found a camera on the desk in the front hall that was set to transmit audio and video to the host's phone whenever its motion or audio sensor was triggered. Previous guests may want to check into this.

    The "unique renos" were unacceptable at this price point. Some electrical sockets were falling out of the wall, there was a hole in the kitchen ceiling, underneath the kitchen bar was bare plywood, the white cupboard in the kitchen was nailed shut, the entertainment shelves were falling off the wall, the grey paint on the pillars was obviously free-handed with no proper edge. Some of these would be easily overlooked in a more humble setting, but the apartment was advertised as a very posh "sub penthouse." The building is obviously showing its age very early, as it is only 5 years old and the drywall tape is already lifting all along the wall edges. There was space left in the bedroom closets for our clothes, but no hangers. The host's food was still in the fridge!

    Overall, we did not feel at home at all. Luckily I live just outside of town, and I am somewhat jaded by the views. I cannot imagine travelling from another country to stay in this apartment in the condition it was in.

    The building is in a great location and the parking was very secure. The view was fantastic. Unfortunately the other aspects weighed heavily on our minds while we were enjoying the views.

  • My parents, boyfriend, and I had a great time. The apartment is better than what it looks on the pictures (especially the incredible view! We all had tears in our eyes when we first saw the view)).
    There was no surprise, and We would definitely go back to Salar's apartment for our next visit in Vancouver.
    Salar is very welcoming and available for his guests.
    The apple TV added a homey touch as we were able to watch movies.
    The location is perfect too!
