The Space

First off we are very fortunate to have met so many amazing people from this site and even made some very good friends through the process! We can only hope we will meet more of yous! We are also very flattered by the kind things people had to say about us and proud to be rated 5 stars all around by our lovely guests so far!

We’re right in the middle of Omaha, close to the freeway (US-80), only a 5-15 minute drive to the main spots, two blocks from the bus stop and the library/post office/restaurants are well within walking distance. Aksarben village is also close-by which is full of delicious restaurants & a great movie theater. If you're rotating /visiting any of the hospitals or University of Nebraska - Omaha, it's an ideal place to stay as well (as it is close to all of them)! Please check out our guidebook for more nearby locations.

Reliable internet, parking on the street is free (garage-additional fee), utilities, towels, laundry, dishwasher, filtered water, coffee/tea, netflix, video games on an actual arcade machine, and use of the yard are all included with your stay! Also if you would like to use the gym, I can get you access at CUMC's gym (small but has treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, cable TV, free weights, weight machines, mats, Pilate balls, shower and lockers).

You will be staying with 5 of us, most of us are usually never home and when we are, we're very quiet. This makes our place great for studying or relaxing after work. The house is always superclean and we are very respectful of the place. So clean, that we do ask that you please take your shoes off in the home (it’s a cultural and cleanliness thing).

If we are not working and/or have free time, we can even show you around town! If not, we can give you a list of all the great restaurants, theaters, and attractions (music venues, free yoga classes, places to shop, best bars, markets, festivals, etc), which are all included in our guidebook from this site as well!

Your room has new carpet, a large bookshelf, a good sized closet, a comfy double air bed (confirmed by our guests' reviews- "The air bed is the best air bed I've ever seen and is very comfortable, big and doesn't deflate at all!"), and a study desk w/ a lamp.

The room dimensions are 10.10ft x 8.2ft, bathrooms are shared, and the rest of the house is, of course, free to use at your convenience! The house also has a super cool electronic lock for added security.

We look forward to hearing from you and having you come stay, please do not hesitate to get in touch! Also during your stay if there is anything you need, just ask!

Interaction with Guests

We're easy going, if you want to hang out, we'll do our best to make time to do just that, but if you want to just rest and be left alone, we can respect that too!

Getting around

If you are not driving or will be carless, we recommend getting a car rental from Hotwire/Kayak as it will be cheaper than cabs if you're not able to drive. One way from or to the airport or greyhound station will cost you $20 without tip via cab. We've gotten car rentals for $20 a day here from the airport. If you still prefer to cab the most reliable we found is happy cab (ask for scott findell-he is the best) or get the Lyft app which has slightly better pricing.

Everyone loves to bike here and we have a groovy bike you can use for free! There are also community bikes nearby for a rental fee and the transport system isn't too bad in the downtown areas, but can be pretty unreliable anywhere else in Omaha. With that said, there is a bus stop 5 min walk from our house that many of our guests have used flawlessly!

If you are staying more than 2 days, and if we can fit it in our schedules, we can always pick you up and drop you off at the airport/bus/train station for free, if less than that we usually charge $10 one way as it is 20 minutes from our home.

  • I didn't even see the hosts since our schedules were so busy but they were easy to get in touch with and I was able to get into the house no problem, everything was great.

  • Yon and Leon are delightful hosts. Friendly and fun to be with. As soon as we arrived Leon gave us a tour of the house and made us feel at home. Everything is exactly as shown on AirBnb. We had a private room to ourselves, sharing the living room, kitchen, and bathroom with housemates. Nice and safe neighborhood. We watched 4 World Cup (soccer) games at local restaurants and sports bars. By far the highlight of our 2-day visit was watching the Ralston July 4th fireworks display with Yon and Leon. We will definitely visit again.

  • Yon and Leon were delightful hosts. Everything was exactly as promised. I had a private room to myself, sharing the living room, kitchen, and bathroom with my housemates. The house was clean and quiet. Free wifi. The neighborhood was good, with free parking on the street and shops nearby. I was surprised to discover Omaha has lots of art, and excellent restaurants. My only regret from the trip is that I was so busy with my conference that I really didn't get much time to talk with Yon and Leon. They were friendly and fun. If I were in the area again, I'd definitely book another stay.

  • Excellent, usuhan, excellente! House was cool, neighborhood was fine, I felt safe, and accommodations were great. The air mattress and private room actually seemed bigger than the picture suggests. I also had the (rare?) honor to have dinner with Yon and got to see the sights and sounds of Omaha at night as she chaffeured me around the city and took me to ice cream at Ted and Wally's. Oh yeah, I guess Leon was cool too, for comic relief:). No really, they were both great hosts and I'd have stayed longer if time allowed me. The value you get for the stay and pricing was awesome and definitely one of my best airbnb experiences. I would stay here over and over again.

  • I had a great experience with Yon and Leon, who were very warm and welcoming! The room was exactly as advertised, clean and spacious, and the airbed was super-comfortable. The house was quiet and easy to find, and near enough to the interstate for ease of traveling around the city. Unbeatable for the price. I'd definitely stay here again if in Omaha!

  • Highly recommended! Not only are Yon and Leon wonderful hosts but they are also very knowledgeable about the city. You can't beat the full kitchen, bathroom, laundry, backyard, wifi/entertainment room, bus stop & grocery store 1/2 block away and best of all great company to enjoy it with! They are very accommodating, helpful, and welcoming.

  • I was greeted with smiling faces when I arrived and got a full tour of the house right away. The bed truly is the most comfortable air mattress I have ever slept on. When I was looking for some place to eat they were very helpful. Great hosts!

  • Booked a night with Yon and Leon while on the road to Omaha, heard back within an hour or so, and arrived later that night. Pleasantly surprised by our extremely friendly and generous hosts. Would definitely recommend to anyone passing through Nebraska.

I'm Yon and I'm from South Korea, but pretty much American, and my fiancé is Leon, and he is from England. I grew up in Ohio and lived everywhere in the US of A and the world. I unfortunately am a busy medical resident, so I will not be able to be the hostess with the mostess at this time, however, Leon is mostly around and can help you with any assistance needed! He, in fact, is the host w/ the most as many of our reviews reflect! We both love to travel, eat good food, go to live music shows and go thrifting! We can speak a little Korean, Spanish, and French but definitely not superfluent! We have other housemates that can speak fluent Korean and German though! We would love to host you!
