One bedroom, one bathroom Venice Beach apartment. The apartment is one of four apartments in a converted house on a quiet tree-lined street. There is a shared front porch with a wood bench right out side the front door, perfect for two people and a few glasses of wine. The apartment has a small front living room with a couch, coffee table, desk and comfy chair. The bedroom is separated by a door and is outfitted with a very comfortable Queen bed. The apartment is perfect for one person or a couple. It's walking distance to Venice, Santa Monica, the Santa Monica Blue Line bus system, restaurants and shops. No car necessary! Street parking.
I travel quite a bit for work, so please enjoy my cute apartment while I'm out of town!
Interaction with Guests
I will leave a lockbox on the door so you'll be able to gain entry into the apartment at your convenience on check-in day.
There are three other units in the building. Please be respectful of them and keep the noise down in the evenings.
Please be careful with the rugs in the apartment. If possible, please take your shoes off when you're in the apartment.
The living room with desk, couch and chair. Perfect for doing some work or just relaxing!
This first floor apartment was amazing! Meghan really made our stay special by checking in to make sure we had no trouble finding/getting into the apartment and that we had everything we needed. This place is all about location being so close to Venice Beach and Abbott Kinney. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment was clean. Parking was crowded but not a problem with finding a spot on surrounding streets.
All in all our experience here was a good one! Easily accessible, amazing location (equidistant from abbot kinney and Venice beach), and Meghan was helpful when we locked ourselves out! This was my first time staying in an Airbnb that the host actually lives in (they've always been the person's extra place), so that was a little strange to me having all of the host's belongings in the apartment, but it wasn't an issue, just felt different!
Meghan is an awesome host. She responded quickly to all of my inquiries throughout my week's stay and she is very nice and understanding. The apartment itself was really cute, small but cozy and the perfect amount of space for a couple. I really felt at home and the bed is extremely comfortable. The location was amazing, equal distance from the beach and Abbott Kinney, each only about a three block zig zag on either side. The street is quaint, lush and beautiful. My only "complaint" would be the same as everyone else's - the noise from neighbors. Not sure they were even to blame for being extra loud, the walls are just so thin you could hear every footstep and the things going on right above your head seem amplified. This never disrupted my sleep or anything so it wasn't a problem, just a bit alarming at first, except for the very loud construction starting bright and early in the morning on the last few days I was there. That was quite bothersome but obviously not something happening all the time. Definitely nothing to take away from how awesome my stay was and how comfortable I felt in Meghan's apartment. Would recommend for a pair or someone traveling alone. I am going to miss this place!
Meghan is very prompt and communicative. Her apartment is 2 blocks from the ocean and one block from a trendy shopping area.
Her bed is very comfortable, but be careful during the cooler days because there is no climate control in her apartment.
The bedroom is in the center and receives very little natural light.
It looked like it had been awhile since the shower curtain had been changed as I found hair all over it.
If you're looking for a great location at a great price, this is the place.
However, if you're looking for a nice relaxing retreat, this isn't the place for you.
I had a lovely time staying at Meghan's Venice Beach apartment! The place is super cute and comfortable and in a fantastic location; the neighborhood felt very safe and inviting with lots to do in walking distance. Meghan responded quickly to all queries and was very welcoming; she gave me an excellent list of things to do and spots to visit in the area. This would definitely be my top choice to stay on any return visits to LA.
