I am a thirty-something and have a dark aesthetic and am cemented down traveler. I enjoy reading and streaming anime from my computer. A beautiful black cat, Nyx lives here, also. She is friendly, but not overbearing and likes to play a lot. Unfortunately, no additional pets can be accommodated. Besides cat food, this is a vegan home. ***No animal products may be cooked here. you can store stuff in the refrigerator or freezer, but no cooking meat or eggs inside the apartment. There is a grill outside if you chose to cook meat.
There is yard space with a table and chairs if you would care to spend warm evening meals outdoors.
It is in a culturally diverse residential neighborhood 5 mins. drive from the freeway. There is a grocery store and other shops about 10-15 mins walking and a bank, skate rink, and restaurants about the same distance away.
Smoking is permitted, and drinking and smoking does happen here.
Access to the kitchen. If you need space for food in the refrigerator, it can be arranged. If you choose to cook animal products there is a BBQ grill outside. You also have access to the yard with dining table and chairs. You also, of course, have access to the living room and bathroom. I have a computer you can use in the living room in case you need internet access. I provide fresh clean sheets, blankets,
and towels. There is also filtered water, tea, and coffee available for guests.
Interaction with Guests
I am happy to answer questions and make suggestions. I am busy, however, and am not always around. I have friends over often, but we usually hang out outside or in my room. If you like to go to goth/industrial clubs, you can hitch a ride on most weekend nights (and occasionally weekdays). If I am around the apartment, and you are out, I will likely offer you a beer or gladly accept one as well =^.^=
There's everything within walking distance.
Public transportation is as good as it gets in Los Angeles. LA is not known for amazing public transportation, but you can definitely get to where you need to go from my apartment. A car is always best in Los Angeles, though.
Other Things to Note
Remember, a very friendly cat lives here and No cooking animal products inside the apartment.
This is a clean apartment and I need it to stay this way. Picking up after yourself in the kitchen, bathroom, common areas and bedroom are imperative.
No hard drugs of any kind are welcome here.
Vegan household. No cooking animal products indoors.
I provide towels, sheets, and toilet paper, but *bring your own* toiletries, like shampoo, toothpaste, and laundry soap.
Everything was accurate. Cute cat. Alex made me feel welcome and free in her house. Location of the house is great for what I was doing. Parking is easy to find. Neighborhood is decent. The street that the room is facing becomes fairly busy in the morning. So, I recommend earplugs if you have the windows open. Everything worked great for what I was doing. Thanks Alex.
Alexandra was a great host, who's local knowledge helped enhance my trip greatly. Having a home base instead of a hotel room made all the difference on the trip, don't forget to try the taco stand at the end of the road, which for us foreigners has Mexican coke (the real stuff the rest of the world gets with sugar). Everything in LA needs a car & Alexandra's place was a short drive to everything & parking was not a problem.
Cutest cat ever! Alexandra was very kind and let us do our own thing. Very lovely home! Love the interior decoration and it's really a nice place to stay. A full bathroom is shared with the host and towels are provided. Bed is a little squeaky but still comfortable!! She has extra blankets if needed. Parking wasn't too hard but we totally missed the street cleaning sign and got a ticket. Alexandra was kind enough to offer us a free night because of the ticket! Would stay here again, it's a nice place to stay and very fun to see all the purple decorations in the house.
Very cozy house in a quiet area and in a strategic point of the city, I had the car but the house is close to everything. Alexandra is a perfect hostess, nice, always with a smile. the cat Nyx is the angel of the house. It's a cool place, try it.
Host is very nice person and her cat is cute. The location is convenient.
