Queen size platform bed with quality cotton sheets, and dressing area with mirror and a place to hang your clothes.
Joel was a wonderful host - always available, prompt to reply and welcomed our family warmly - including having some toys for our 2 year old daughter. He also reminded me to move my car for parking, and overall ensured we had a pleasant experience. The basement apartment is well stocked and fun. There is no microwave in the kitchen, but I could warm up things quickly with the gas stove. Only wish I had more time to play pinball!
Joel made us feel very welcome. He met us at the street and helped get our luggage into the unit. Even as 70 year olds, we enjoyed the unique decor including pin ball machine, drums, artwork, etc. The bed was very comfortable. We spent very little time at the place as our son's condo was nearby. We would definitely stay here again on a later trip to DC.
Spent a very pleasant evening. Joel and the dogs are terrific hosts. The platform bed was very comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. The apartment is very functional and is eclectically furnished with interesting detail but is clean and highly functional. It has a working pinball machine, a drum set and a "fully loaded" TV with all the entertainment that you could possibly want.
Joel leaves no stone unturned. He was waiting for me outside when I arrived and was there within minutes when I texted him with questions. Columbia Heights is a great neighborhood with excellent restaurants, bars and shopping. Joel provided is very knowledgeable and provided a perfect suggestion for food and drink.
I don't know if you will find a better host
than Joel. He is friendly, has great knowledge of the area and is helpful with anything you might need.
We enjoyed our stay in Columbia Heights it had everything we needed within a short walk. Metro train less than a 10 minute walk away.
Everything about this place was great. A funky pad with so much personality. Everything was provided, and there was even breakfast food available.
Joel couldn't have been more agreeable and has really gone out of his way to make the place very friendly with bear unmatched amenities. My first Airbnb experience was a great one. Thanks Joel.
Joel was great as a host and was very welcoming. Easy to communicate with and even gave us some good tips for places around the neighborhood! The apartment itself was funky & cool and we even got a parking pass which made it easy to get in & out to see the rest of DC. Definitely recommend Joel's place if you're staying in the area!
