Joel is the coolest host with the coolest AirBnB! I live just outside of DC, and booked his basement apartment for a “staycation.” Joel met us when we arrived and gave us a rundown of the place and offered detailed suggestions for places around the neighborhood. He was available quickly whenever we had a question and was able to swing by when we needed help setting up the entertainment system. We loved being able to bring our dog and Joel was so kind to her. We were so comfortable with Joel and the place and were able to really relax and enjoy ourselves. You won’t be disappointed!

I had the best time staying at this awesome BnB. The apartment was spacious, and even had an awesome airplay speaker system for us to use anytime. The host was great at helping my friend and I navigate the city, and finding great local places to eat. It is about half a mile away from the metro, which was helpful in our travels. It is also close to The Coupe, which has amazing hash browns and coffee. Anyone looking for a fun place to stay in DC for a vacation should definitely consider it.

Joel's spacious apartment served as a great home base for us when we were in town to attend a wedding and do some sightseeing. The weather was blistering the weekend we were in DC, but during our down time we enjoyed relaxing in the apartment where the AC was wonderful. We also appreciated the ice cold water filtered water he provided to guests. The bathroom was a little "bare bones" and did not have an electrical outlet (there were outlets throughout the rest of the apartment, though). But aside from that we had all the modern amenities we needed. Comfy bed, too! The neighborhood itself was a little off the beaten path, but the 10 minute's walk to the metro station wasn't bad. And ubers were nearby and plentiful. Joel helpful in providing restaurant and other sightseeing recommendation. He was also flexible with our check-in/check-out times.

I've stayed in a lot of AirBnB's and the layout in Joel’s place is one of the best I’ve stayed in. I brought my 15-year-old and we loved staying here. I stayed on the queen bed and it was quite comfy. Great sheets. My son stayed on the pull-out futon couch and he was comfortable too. Taking a shower in the claw-foot-tub-turned-shower was an experience. Very doable and it was cool to see how he took something old and made it practical. We had some of the best coffee with the French press coffee pot. Pantry was fully stocked with essentials and cups, plates, glasses, and small appliances. The location was great for our DC trip. We used Uber/Lyft to get around once we got to the place and it was quite convenient and cost effective with $4-$12 rides. The place is in the basement of a townhouse but we loved having the place to ourselves with our own private entry so we could come and go as we chose. We only heard the dogs above us running and playing one time. Parking is on the street only, and Joel was very gracious to help me park a ridiculously large truck, so bring small vehicles if you can! Joel also made some great recommendations for us. A+ place to stay. We’d definitely stay here again!
