Communication is the key, let me know what type of schedule you are going to be keeping and I'll be as accommodating as I can. I live here with my two dogs and my baker girlfriend in the floors above this apartment. I work weekends and she works weekdays but both of our schedules are very flexible. Once you're checked in you're free to come and go as you please, and use the shared laundry or hang out in the back yard by the koi pond. If you have any questions please ask, We love this place and think you will too...
Comfortable seating area with large coffee table, the sofa can be pulled out into a queen size bed.
Super easy check-in -- Joel is a great communicator and a pleasure to work with. The location is a 5 minute walk from some great restaurants and bars, as well as an $8 Uber ride to The White House. The private basement is very cozy and quiet. I didn't hear any upstairs or street noise and slept great. The unit is also climate controlled. I will be back!
Joel was flexible with my group's arrival time and was very friendly and helpful! The apartment was clean and the sleeping arrangements were comfortable for the six of us. The location is close to U-Street and the Columbia Heights metro station, which was great!
Great location! Quite neighborhood but near to the metro and parks. Joel was a great host. The bathroom came equipped with a full compliment of toiletries and the beer was stocked with tasty brews. Kudos to DC Brau; their The Public Pale is great! Thanks for a great stay!
Joel made us feel welcome even before we arrive by giving us specific directions on how to get to his place. During our stay he offered information about the area, transit, and tips. In order to safe energy we left lights off and ac warmer. It was very nice of Joel to turn the outside light on in case we returned in the dark.
The area is very nice and even though we did not have the opportunity to walk around, we enjoy seeing it during our taxi trips to and from our daily destinations.
One of the best Airbnb experiences I've had! Joel provided us with a parking pass, making parking on the street right out front easy. He made us feel super welcome, even allowing us to do some much needed laundry. Very comfortable basement apartment with a pinball machine, Netflix, ac, fridge, everything you can think of. Joel gave us binder full of recommendations, maps of the area, and menus for restaurants near by. Definitely staying here again on future D.C. trips.
Very good experience! Joel was flexible with move-in time, and provided a quick walk through and suggestions for nearby restaurants and places to visit!
