Hi, this was originally my sister's flat that she used as a writer's getaway for a few months every year. It's a large, comfortable space in the best part of Palermo, equally perfect for getting the creative juices flowing or for exploring the city.
Lovely 1 bed apartment in a classic building in the heart of Palermo Soho. In the middle of the 'pulmon de manzana'/interior open space, it is well shielded from any noise from the street. Its high ceilings and wall to wall windows flood the apartment with light to create a beautiful airy space. Lovingly decorated to be a real 'home from home' it is perfect for writers, artists and creative types.
It's a great central location, ideally positioned between Plaza Italia and Plaza Serrano. So you're within easy walking distance of both, but far enough removed to be out of the hustle and bustle. 3 blocks away are all the transport links (subte D and many many bus lines) of Plaza Italia on nearby Santa Fe. You're a short walk to parks, the Botanic Gardens, and of course all Palermo Soho's famous boutiques, restaurants, bars and nightlife are on your doorstep.
Local amenities including supermarkets, organic food shops, restaurants/pubs, discos/bars, ice cream parlours, local internet coffee shops, banks and ATM machines are all within a few blocks.
A very short cab ride away are Las Canitas, with its restaurants, bars and polo fields; the Costanera, with its top nightclubs; Aeroparque Jorge Newberry, the domestic airport; Recoleta, with its lovely architecture and stunning cemetery; and San Telmo, with its historical buildings and markets.
The apartment is 77 square meters, fully furnished, and has a large bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a full bathroom. Very spacious living/dining room with a table for 6, 2 very comfortable sofabeds with coffee table and cable TV and DVD. Has wifi, and ACs in living room and in the bedroom.
For stays of 2 weeks or more there is a maid who comes once a week. Hot water and central heat. Includes bedclothes and towels.
Please make sure to read the House Rules section also.
I live in BA, so am around to answer any questions you might have.
Security deposit payable in cash on arrival (fully refunded at checkout if there are no damages or breakages):
- stays of less than a month = USD 200.00
- stays of 1 month or more = USD 500.00
Normally check-in and check-out times are very flexible depending on your travel arrangements.
However if you are checking-in/out on the same day that another guest is checking-out/in and it's not possible to work out a mutually convenient arrangement for everybody then you may have to be prepared to arrive later or leave earlier than you would ideally like.
If all else fails, then the following check-in/check-out times will apply:
- Check-in 3pm
- Check-out 12pm
I will always try to help out as much as possible in these cases and, if necessary, luggage can be safely left for a few hours in my other apartment nearby.
This was our first experience using airbnb... and, we had such a great experience I think this will be the start of a new way to travel!
After almost 26 hours of travels, Cameron was there to great us, get us settled and started off our trip to BA on the right foot.
The apartment was exactly as pictured and provided a comfortable home base during our stay. Plenty of room and light. And with the grocery store, great dining and night life only a few steps away, the location couldn't be better.
Cameron also provided us with a great contact to organize a few excursions, which proved to be a lot easier (and less expensive) than trying to organize on our own. A great help.
We'd be back!
Cameron's one bedroom unit was an amazing apartment - great location, spacious living and dining room, and a very responsive and knowledgable host.
The location allowed us to tap into Palermo's vibrant life, and complimenting that was the unit itself as it allowed us to escape for a quiet glass of Malbec from the corner market.
Cameron was very responsive, which provided comfort and confidence that our needs would be met throughout the trip - and they were. I fully expect to contact Cameron next time I voyage to BA.
We enjoyed our stay at Cameron's apartment immensely. He is a responsive and thorough host, even allowing us a very late checkout to accommodate an evening flight. The apartment is exactly as described, and really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated: very large rooms, amazing high ceilings, and a wonderful wall of windows. The neighborhood is packed with restaurants and shops, with easy access to the Subte. We'd definitely stay here again. Thanks Cameron!
The apartment's location is terrific. Walking distance to the Subte and about three blocks from a wide choice of high quality restaurants.
The apartment itself was large with high ceilings but is a little tired. It would benefit from a thorough clean and a few repairs. The apartment was quiet, but the air conditioner very noisy (and essential in December.)
Cameron was helpful, although some written information about the immediate neighbourhood would have been good. (Eg location of a laundry, as there is no washing machine), recommendations for coffee and breakfast etc. )
The wifi was excellent. The apartment was good value but I would have been happy to pay more for a few extra touches
We had a wonderful time in Cameron's apartment! We are a french couple traveling for 6 months in South America and wanted to find a place to feel like home for a week, and that's exactly what we fund with this stylish and airy apartment. It is perfectly located to discover Buenos Aires and enjoy the exciting and lively Palermo in the evening. Cameron was very flexible for check-in and check-out, which we do really appreciated. We couldn't recommend a better place in Buenos Aires and would love to come back!
We stood at Cameron's apartment for 43 days. Its location is really good, since the neighborhood has a lot of stores, restaurants and parks. The metro station was also very close, providing easy transportation throughout the entire city.
The apartment itself was large, well furnished, clean and bright. In the living room there were many maps and travel guides which proved to be quite useful during our whole stay. There was no laundry in the apartment or in the building, but there were a lot of them around at close distance and reasonable prices.
Finally the host. Cameron was always helpful and professional, quickly answering our messages and even providing us with a list of tips about places to go in the city.
We highly recommend this place and would stay in it again if we return to Buenos Aires.
Our stay at Cameron's apartment was very enjoyable ! It is perfectly located in the heart of Palermo, at walking distance from plaza italia and the lively plaza serrano. Many bars, restaurants and fancy shopping stores. The apartment itself is spacious, with a large bedroom and a double living room with large windows, giving the apartment a new yorkish loft vibe ! Wifi was working just fine. We loved it! Cameron was very kind and gave us some good tips about the city and argentina. We would definitely recommand this place for a week in buenos aires !

Originally from England, I moved to Buenos Aires in 2006 after spending 4 years in New York.
I love travelling, playing sports, meeting people, constantly learning and enjoying life. So BA has proven to be a good spot to do all that from.
