There are white sand beaches, aquamarine waters, world class snorkeling, exquisite sunsets, and night skies that will take your breath away.

The experience comes with a small boat and captain, three paddle boards and a kayak

The space
The Motu is filled with tropical flora with over 100 coconut trees and other hardwood trees and is covered with sand and, in some parts, grass.

There are 3 sleeping huts, with bamboo or woven coconut frond exteriors and imported Balinese shingled roofs.

All the huts have hardwood floors, and are furnished with King beds with mosquito netting, drawers or armoires, and are well-lit. Single beds are also available. The 2 large bathrooms are outfitted with sinks, showers, and commodes. The main hut is spacious with a living and dining area that seats 8 and a kitchen.

Guest access
The entire island is yours to use and explore with the exception of two places. The large storage area that is adjacent to the Garden Hut is off limits, as is the Marae, a marked site on the island, which in ancient times was a sacred place of worship and meetings.

Other things to note
The Motu does not have internet service and so we recommend reserving and picking up a portable router available at the airport from Tahiti WiFi. It will be important for communication with the island host and boat service. There are several plans offered depending on your internet needs and the service is very affordable.

Transfers to and from the airport are not included and we highly recommend renting a car at the airport.

Laundry service is available for an added fee in case you need any clothes washed.

The district of Mataiea is a chance to see how real Polynesians live. It is about 50 minutes south of Papeete, filled with farms, fishing and small businesses. A popular spot with the locals is the fresh water pools of Vaima, as well as the gardens, waterfall and hiking of Vaipahi, which are minutes from the island. If you are a golfer, Tahiti's only golf course, the gorgeous Golf International Oliver Breaud, a 18 hole championship course is 10 minutes away.
