2 bedroom, 1 bathroom Bungalow in North West Denver. This house is located in-between Denver's Sunny Side and Lo Hi neighborhoods. The house is quiet and has plenty of off street parking. It's also just about a 10 dollar cab ride to downtown.
Each bedroom has a queen sized bed so the house comfortably sleeps four. If you have 6 people, there is a pull out sofa with a bed topper. If you have 7 people will will take out some of the furniture and add a twin bed with a real mattress (2 real queen beds, 1 pull out queen bed and the twin bed). If you have 8, we will take out some more furniture and add a queen size inflatable mattress. We are happy to accommodate more than 6, but just remember the house is a bit over 1100 sq ft with one bathroom. So trying to get 8 people ready in the morning will require some coordination. As we take out some of the furniture, you're also converting 'hang out space' into sleeping space. Just a few things to keep in mind.
Sunny Side/Lohi are two of Denver's fastest up and coming neighborhoods and every day it seems like there are more cool, unique places opening up. Our neighborhood has traditionally been a working class neighborhood but is quickly changing into a place where you see lots of families with small children driving Passats and Tueregs.
I am currently in the process of combing two households so if the calendar shows an open date, there shouldn't be any issues. If there are any exceptions you should be able to find them here. Contact me if you intend to stay a week or more. I do offer a weekly discount with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.
Getting there and away:
If you are looking to head downtown there are multiple back routes for driving so you can miss rush hour on the freeway. After a night on the town a cab is generally $8-15 depending on where you've been.
You're also just a two block walk in each direction from buslines (buses 44 & 52).
In addition to being close to downtown you're just a few minutes away from both I-70, I-25, hwy 36 and 270 interchange . That means that most parts of Denver are just 15-20 minutes away. If you hop on I-70 west you'll be in the mountains in about 30 minutes and the larger ski destinations are just about an hour away.
Please note, for the weekends of May 22-26 (Memorial day) and for June 20-23, we will require a reservation for that entire weekend.
Like most of Denver's city close neighborhoods this area is gentrifying. Houses in this area are constantly being flipped or knocked down to make room for row homes and apartments.
This is a non-smoking house. So no indoor smoking. If you do smoke please step outside onto the back patio. Thanks!
We often have people who leave a little something behind. So generally anything you find in the fridge is fair game.
If you'd like to bring a pet, please hit me up with details on type and size of the pet! Generally it's not a problem, the only rule is that they are not allowed to sleep on the beds. Generally we just want to make sure that the beds are kept for humans/future visitors!
Also after your stay please don't make the beds! I really really appreciate you cleaning up but we generally have to strip the sheets to get ready for the next guests. If you only use one bedroom during your stay feel free to let us know what as well. That way we are not wasting water/energy to wash and dry sheets that are already clean.
Had a great time staying at this place with my buddies before heading out on our ski vacation. Left some delicious cupcakes for us too! Would definitely stay here again if I find myself in Denver.
The bungalow was super cute! Inside was clean & the location was great! The neighborhood wasn't the top-of-the-line, but I never felt like it was a dangerous neighborhood (it's not). Kitchen and dining space is nice and open. Only downside was it was crazy snowy while we were there, but Mother Nature is to blame for that. Overall, perfect choice for my girls' weekend trip!
Location was nice and convenient, and accommodations were great. The whole process was so smooth that we actually didn't even need to contact Chris, all information was provided well in advance and no issues at all.
Awesome location and house. Very comfortable stay with beer, chips and salsa waiting for us. Beds were comfortable and the showers were great. The only thing I would suggest is having some blinds for the main window. We felt a little exposed.
We enjoyed Chris' home for our stay in Denver. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of space for 3 of us. It was a short distance ($10 via Uber) to downtown but we also enjoyed exploring the developing neighborhood (the coffee shop around the corner was our favorite!). This place is a great value and Chris was very quick to communicate. Hosts like Chris are why I enjoy AirBnB, everything was seamless and the space was great.
Chris is a great host. Prior to arriving, Chris was in touch with all of the information and we had no trouble arriving. When we did arrive, the apartment was clean and nicely furnished. We felt right at home with the homemade salsa and itinerary book. The fridge was also stocked with food/ drinks (non-perishable) from previous guests, and we were able to pass that along by leaving our leftovers as well.
We absolutely LOVED the firepit in the backyard and were able to spend most of our time outside since the weather was so beautiful. While the location was a bit farther from downtown than we previously thought, the Uber right was less than 10 minutes and around $5. While we only stayed one night, we thoroughly enjoyed the apartment and would definitely stay again. Thank you for the great experience, Chris!
We loved staying at Chris' place! Be honest, what hotel gives you free home made, yummy salsa :-) !!!!! Perfect end to our trip. Thanks for accommodating us the way you did (with all the questions and so). Really appreciate it!
