2 bedroom, 1 bathroom Bungalow in North West Denver. This house is located in-between Denver's Sunny Side and Lo Hi neighborhoods. The house is quiet and has plenty of off street parking. It's also just about a 10 dollar cab ride to downtown.
Each bedroom has a queen sized bed so the house comfortably sleeps four. If you have 6 people, there is a pull out sofa with a bed topper. If you have 7 people will will take out some of the furniture and add a twin bed with a real mattress (2 real queen beds, 1 pull out queen bed and the twin bed). If you have 8, we will take out some more furniture and add a queen size inflatable mattress. We are happy to accommodate more than 6, but just remember the house is a bit over 1100 sq ft with one bathroom. So trying to get 8 people ready in the morning will require some coordination. As we take out some of the furniture, you're also converting 'hang out space' into sleeping space. Just a few things to keep in mind.
Sunny Side/Lohi are two of Denver's fastest up and coming neighborhoods and every day it seems like there are more cool, unique places opening up. Our neighborhood has traditionally been a working class neighborhood but is quickly changing into a place where you see lots of families with small children driving Passats and Tueregs.
I am currently in the process of combing two households so if the calendar shows an open date, there shouldn't be any issues. If there are any exceptions you should be able to find them here. Contact me if you intend to stay a week or more. I do offer a weekly discount with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.
Getting there and away:
If you are looking to head downtown there are multiple back routes for driving so you can miss rush hour on the freeway. After a night on the town a cab is generally $8-15 depending on where you've been.
You're also just a two block walk in each direction from buslines (buses 44 & 52).
In addition to being close to downtown you're just a few minutes away from both I-70, I-25, hwy 36 and 270 interchange . That means that most parts of Denver are just 15-20 minutes away. If you hop on I-70 west you'll be in the mountains in about 30 minutes and the larger ski destinations are just about an hour away.
Please note, for the weekends of May 22-26 (Memorial day) and for June 20-23, we will require a reservation for that entire weekend.
Like most of Denver's city close neighborhoods this area is gentrifying. Houses in this area are constantly being flipped or knocked down to make room for row homes and apartments.

Chris' place is impeccably clean and conveniently located close off I-70. He graciously left us delicious cupcakes and bottled water. This was our second time staying at his bungalow. He always communicates clearly and promptly. Many thanks again Chris!
Chris's place was great! We really enjoyed our stay. The cupcakes that were left for us were absolutely delicious. It was a close drive to downtown. Check out the funny statues.
Chris' place was awesome! It was spacious, clean, and warm. He was extremely easy to talk ton& left us cupcakes & water which is a rarity on Air bnb. 10 Minutes or less from downtown. Highly recommend!
Great Space , Perfect Location
BED BUGS BEWARE!!!
When we arrived both beds were infested with bugs. They were running all over sheets, blankets and pillows. We are not sure of the exact name of these bugs but they appeared to be blood sucking.
Chris failed to address the issue in any reasonable way. My phone call and a text message were never answered. The only email response I received stated that he was taking this issue seriously but no actions followed. We even had to leave our blankets behind due to the risk of contamination.
Looking for a hotel in the middle of the night is always fun, isn't it?
We made a YouTube video showing running bugs. Feel free to send me a personal message to get a link. I was not able to add it here.
We ended up spending twice the money on hotels and are now working with airbnb to try to get something back.
Other than that the place seemed well stocked and decorated. Would have been good for the money if no issues arose and if the host was willing to address the matter or at least apologize rather than denying its existence.
Have you ever heard business owners talking about people leaving bad reviews for them in order to get something?
Although I was doubtful, I took Alex's claim seriously. It involved a full inspection provided by Orkin. Each bedroom was thoroughly inspected and found zero traces of bed bugs or other bugs.
After Alex left he spent the weekend insisting that I not only refund his money but further compensate him. His last message to me was, " It's in your interest to make things right and compensate us."
When honest, I am happy to take reviews and criticism. However, when outright false, it is necessary to call it out.
Chris was able to accommodate me on really short notice. He communicated quickly and I was able to book the entire bungalow only hours before I needed to arrive. The place is cozy and warm, with a really comfortable leather couch. The bedroom and bathroom were stocked with towels and toiletries and I was welcomed with an amazing gourmet cupcake. It was a great experience and a great price. I'll stay there again next time I'm in the area.
Chris was such a great host! He was responsive and really made us feel at home. The space was huge, which was perfect for us. We stayed for an entire month. It was a quick 8 minute drive to downtown. The beds were pretty comfortable and having a washer and dryer was helpful. I didn't care for the block, however. I didn't feel it was the safest neighborhood. It was quiet, so no problem there. The backyard wasn't in the greatest shape. But, that wouldn't bother us if we didn't have a dog.
Chris was great - he even left us cupcakes!. Communication was just right. The house was in a cool area, easily accessible with a car, and well maintained. We liked the outside area. Bedrooms were nice. Everything was great for us! Would definitely recommend Chris and his house in the future!
Chris's place was great! We arrived late and were welcomed with delicious cupcakes. The house was really perfect, I can't say enough about this place. We ate in for at least half of our meals and there were enough dishes, pots and pans to prepare a feast. We were thrilled with the washer and dryer and the fact that we were able to wash some clothes before we came home. The water pressure is awesome, the place is warm and cozy and the neighborhood is very safe. We really felt like we were at home and Denver was so conveniently situated in the center of all that we wanted to explore. The price is so reasonable and Chris is such an excellent host that we would not hesitate to stay here again!
Very nice host-very accommodating and flexible about reasonable requests I made. House was excellent!! Very clean and professionally kept. Chris supplied delicious cupcakes and water bottles-very (email hidden)ighborhood appears to be undergoing revitalization process-few homes in neighborhood needed 'care' but house felt very safe and secure. I would definitely stay there again-easy access to major freeways.
