About This Listing
2 bedroom, 1 bathroom Bungalow in North West Denver. This house is located in-between Denver's Sunny Side and Lo Hi neighborhoods. The house is quiet and has plenty of off street parking. It's also just about a 10 dollar cab ride to downtown.
Each bedroom has a queen sized bed so the house comfortably sleeps four. If you have 6 people, there is a pull out sofa with a bed topper. If you have 7 people will will take out some of the furniture and add a twin bed with a real mattress (2 real queen beds, 1 pull out queen bed and the twin bed). If you have 8, we will take out some more furniture and add a queen size inflatable mattress. We are happy to accommodate more than 6, but just remember the house is a bit over 1100 sq ft with one bathroom. So trying to get 8 people ready in the morning will require some coordination. As we take out some of the furniture, you're also converting 'hang out space' into sleeping space. Just a few things to keep in mind.
Sunny Side/Lohi are two of Denver's fastest up and coming neighborhoods and every day it seems like there are more cool, unique places opening up. Our neighborhood has traditionally been a working class neighborhood but is quickly changing into a place where you see lots of families with small children driving Passats and Tueregs.
I am currently in the process of combing two households so if the calendar shows an open date, there shouldn't be any issues. If there are any exceptions you should be able to find them here. Contact me if you intend to stay a week or more. I do offer a weekly discount with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.
Getting there and away:
If you are looking to head downtown there are multiple back routes for driving so you can miss rush hour on the freeway. After a night on the town a cab is generally $8-15 depending on where you've been.
You're also just a two block walk in each direction from buslines (buses 44 & 52).
In addition to being close to downtown you're just a few minutes away from both I-70, I-25, hwy 36 and 270 interchange . That means that most parts of Denver are just 15-20 minutes away. If you hop on I-70 west you'll be in the mountains in about 30 minutes and the larger ski destinations are just about an hour away.
Please note, for the weekends of May 22-26 (Memorial day) and for June 20-23, we will require a reservation for that entire weekend.
Like most of Denver's city close neighborhoods this area is gentrifying. Houses in this area are constantly being flipped or knocked down to make room for row homes and apartments.
This is a non-smoking house. So no indoor smoking. If you do smoke please step outside onto the back patio. Thanks!
We often have people who leave a little something behind. So generally anything you find in the fridge is fair game.
If you'd like to bring a pet, please hit me up with details on type and size of the pet! Generally it's not a problem, the only rule is that they are not allowed to sleep on the beds. Generally we just want to make sure that the beds are kept for humans/future visitors!
Also after your stay please don't make the beds! I really really appreciate you cleaning up but we generally have to strip the sheets to get ready for the next guests. If you only use one bedroom during your stay feel free to let us know what as well. That way we are not wasting water/energy to wash and dry sheets that are already clean.
We never saw Chris, but he was easily accessible by text or phone. House was conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood. Spotlessly clean inside and definitely large enough for the 3 of us to be comfortable for the weekend. If you like to cook, you may find the utensils, pots and pans somewhat limiting..easily remedied by a nearby Walmart. There was a gas bbq grill in the backyard, but it was not in service. :-( We also did not get the queso/salsa/chips that so many reviewers wrote about, but we did find most of a 12 pack of beer in the fridge! :-) Overall, a good experience and we would certainly stay here again if in the area.
Accurate listing - nice, clean, big two bedroom home...plenty of space. Beds were comfortable and water pressure was good. Host was pleasant and communicative.
We loved the location! Close to so many great restaurants. House was large and comfortable to sleep the four of us! There was a slight issue with some down power lines from a storm but he handled the situation quickly! Would definitely recommend to anybody looking to stay in a great location! (Neighbors are friendly too!)
We stayed for the weekend for a wedding. Great space. More than enough room for two couples. Close to restaurants and food.
First time using airB&B and a great experience. The bungalow was exactly as advertised, Chris was communicative and helpful. Quiet neighborhood, easy freeway access to Denver. The bungalow was clean and so much better than the previous 8 nights at hotels. I would absolutely stay here again next time I come to Denver!
We had a great time at Chris' pad! Great location. The inside is laid back and clean. It felt very homey. Because of bad weather we ended up spending most of our time at the bungalow while in Denver and it was perfect for my husband and I. We will definitely bring staying again next year.
We enjoyed our stay here. It was perfect for us. It was conveniently located, and private. We had one issue, but Chris and airbnb were quick to resolve it! We appreciated the notes and suggestions on the kitchen counter. It was fully stocked and had everything we needed.
We would definitely stay here again.
