  • Adequate for a short city break, well located and nice to have fresh towels every day. A lot of street noise but expected in Manhattan. A bit gloomy, the apartment would benefit from a fresh paint job. Only real gripe was threadbare bed linen.

  • Great apartment which was cleaned every day (fresh sheets & towels too). Being Irish, I love my tea, but unfortunately there was no kettle there so I had to heat the water up in the microwave. It had a hair dryer and iron/ironing board. It was really warm, we had to turn the heating off on day two and didn't turn it on for the rest of the week. Perfect location. 2 minute walk from Grand Central Station. 10 minute walk from Times Square. Road was very noisy but that is to be expected in a City and you get used to it. This was our first time to visit NYC; we most definitely will come back and will stay in one of Cathleen's fabulous apartments.

  • Great place to stay. Close to Grand Central and a very nice neighborhood...

  • I have been using Cathleens' properties for two years now and every experience has been super. It is axlean nicely decorated apartment on the east side. It is convenient to many of my favorite things like Macys and great food. When I am there it makes me feel like I have returned home; all my New York friends know it as "the apartment" when I tell them where I am staying.
I recommend that you use her properties if an availability opens. You won't regret it!!!

  • Fabulous location and parking garage right next door! Great emails and feedback. Hope to stay again next time in NY

  • The experience in this apartment it was in general very good. Acomodations were ok and Cathleen´s response to solve our questions/problems was good. Although it´s located in a crowdy area, it was not so noisy as we were expecting. Obviously, if you´re planning to go to NY and stay in a well located place, with easy access and near to main attractions, you cannot expect a silent place! But it was really better than I thought.
The heating was very good, considering we stayed there during several days that weather condition was very, very cold. In some cases, we needed to lower the temperature because it was too much!
For the rest, cleaning, wifi connection, and attention in general was very good. We only had a problem with the TV (it seemed that it couldn´t catch signal very well) and we contacted Cathleen who immediately answered us. We reinitiate the system and it worked perfectly!
The relationship between cost and general conditions is very good, so in case I come back to NY, I definitely would choose it again!

  • This apartment is in a great location a little bit noisy but the great service helped with that tremendously! clean towels and fresh made sheets on the bed every day made this place a real gem I would stay again.

    February 2014
  • The appartment of Cathleen is well equiped and well located, close to Grand Central Terminal but not enough warmed in the evening and during the night.
Unfortunately we have never met Cathleen !

  • L'appartamento di Cathleen è piccolo ma delizioso..inoltre la collocazione è stupenda. E' a due passi dalla stazione centrale dove si può prendere la metropolitana. Vacanza davvero stupenda!

  • Cathleen's Apt #4 was very convenient, in terms of location, booking (last-minute), and ease of checking in/out. It was just a couple of blocks from my meetings in Midtown (near Bryant Park). The booking process was speedy and seamless. Cathleen was able to accommodate me at the last minute, just hours before my arrival in the city. Cathleen's assistant was available to answer questions throughout my stay. Notably, she responded within 15 minutes to any messages that I sent. There is a housekeeper on site that provides fresh towels each day and she even brought me a hair dryer the evening I arrived, when I realized that I'd forgotten mine. As others have mentioned, unlike other AirBnB spots, the apt. feels much more like a (sparse) hotel room than a home, but that was fine with me. It had everything I needed for my brief stay. The location lacks a "neighborhood" feel, but it's extremely convenient to midtown and worked well for my purposes. There was less noise from the street than Id anticipated based on previous reviews. It wasn't very loud, for New York City.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend Cathleen's apartment to others.

    Minor Drawbacks:
The tv didn't work. This wasnt a problem, but it would have been nice to know beforehand.
It was a bit cold at night.

    Highlights:
    Fresh towels daily
    Communication
    Ease of check-in/out
    Bathroom was small, but nice.
