About this listing
Private room with shared bath in an old house. The room is on the second floor with the bath right next door. The house is comfortable and has plenty of space to relax and get ready for a day exploring the area.
Come rest and rejuvenate in a cozy old house in Gilford, NH after your day full of adventure and exploration. The house is situated on 25 acres of pristine land with woodland walking/X-country skiing/snowshoeing trails to a beautiful trout pond. I have a lovely backyard and gardens and pleasant common areas in the house. There are many local attractions as well as easy access to the Lakes and Mountains of NH for year round fun.
Come disconnect from the daily grind, there is no WiFi, phone, TV or even a clock in the room. But there is a most comfortable full bed and great view of the big maple in the backyard...almost like being in a treehouse.
There is ample parking and room in the garage for ski equipment or motorcycles.
I have three great cats, Pearl you may hardly see and Yardley and Leroy who will both want to be your best friend. If you are allergic to cats please consider this before booking with me. They may try to convince you they are outdoor cats but don't listen, just say "NO".
So, please come and enjoy Central NH and all it has to offer.
Winter and ski season is coming right up and there is something going on every week throughout the state. Make your reservation, then come make a memory. My house is a great base camp for whatever activities you choose.
You will have access to the kitchen and you can help yourself to a cup of coffee or tea in the morning.
Interaction with Guests
We can interact as much as time and desire allow. While you are with me I go about my life which, along with Airbnb, is pretty full. I'm fortunate to have a wonderful group of friends, fulltime work, and plenty to do around the house.
The neighborhood is very rural. It is mostly wooded with large fields here and there and the Belknap Mountain Range is the backdrop. From my house you cannot see any neighboring homes but often see neighbors out walking.
There is VERY limited public transportation in New Hampshire. You will need a car.
Other Things to Note
Park in the driveway below the deck leaving room for a second car, come up the stairs to the back door...this is the door to use while you are staying with me.
I do not have WiFi or any Internet connection.
