About This Listing
My three bedroom townhouse is located in a family-friendly neighborhood, with easy access to downtown and local hospitals. Each bedroom is clean, fully appointed and holds one person comfortably
Located at the edge of the Mt. Washington and Pikesville neighborhoods. Choice of two bedrooms and your own bathroom in upscale townhouse. Each bedroom contains a twin bed, double dresser, desk night table. Pricing is per bedroom and per guest. Up to two people can stay in two rooms. Use the house as if it were your own. Location is a short drive to downtown, Towson, light rail, JHU, many hospitals, groceries and restaurants. I am located less than three miles from Pimilco Race Track - really convenient for the annual Preakness Stakes each May.
Each bedroom accomodates one person comfortably (two total in the two bedrooms). Price is per person per room up to two rooms rented. I do not rent out the entire house and leave.
I have friendly cats and a 40 lb friendly dog. I keep the house very clean.
You will have access to the entire house. You can have access to the community pool. There is a small charge of 5.00 per person on the weekends and holidays. Weekdays are free.
Interaction with Guests
My interaction with the guests is up to the guests and based on my schedule. The guests control the family room TV remote while they are here.
The neighborhood is walker-runner friendly. People are outside all the time. It is quiet. Very convenient to Quarry Lake where there are restaurants, small shops, a Walgreens and a Whole Foods. We are a short drive from the Mt. Washington village which has an eclectic mix of restaurants and small shops.
There is public transportation, but sadly you have to drive to get there. I am close to the light rail and the metro. The light rail can take you to the MARC and Amtrak as well as directly into DC.
Other Things to Note
Parking is available right in front of the house.
No smoking or drug use. Please keep the common areas of the house clean. Do not permanently alter the bedroom or any rooms of the house. No pets. No additional visitors overnight.
The cats and the dog are indoor pets. The dog does not go out unleashed and the cats do not go outside at all.
Joanne is a very friendly and accommodating hostess. She was very welcoming when I was walking around her house and very respectful of my privacy when I prefered to stay in my room. Her house is great --- very clean and organized. I enjoyed the cats and dog in her house --- they were friendly and well-behaved. The neighborhood is very nicely residential --- lots of trees and quiet.
The guest bedroom was on the top floor of her house, which was great for me, but potential guests who have trouble with stairs should keep that in mind.
Joanne was warm and welcoming. The neighborhood was quiet and nice. Joanne is stellar with her communications. I would definitely stay with her again.
Joanne, Lucy, Elvis, Mrs.Obama, the tom and the other two kits were all extremely pleasant and welcoming! The room is as advertised and Joanne does try very hard to make you feel at home. I very much enjoyed my morning tea on her balcony. One thing to note - the only human at this location is Joanne! Everyone else is of the four legged variety. As I love animals, this was part of the fun for me. But definitely make sure that you are prepared for all the gifts that so many furry friendlies can bring!
Joanne was a wonderful host, very kind and helpful. She made her house mine for the duration of my stay. One thing to note is that the bed is a single. I misunderstood the American term "twin" which I thought meant 2 singles whereas in fact it only means one. Despite this it was a great stay in a very nice location convenient to shops and Baltimore Light rail to get into the town centre.
About the Host, Joanne
Professionally employed mature woman who leads a quiet, but active lifestyle. I enjoy the arts and the outdoors, and love animals. I am a little big of neat freak, which probably works well for this. As a guest, you dictate how much I interact with you. I am happy to tell you about the area, and make travel and restaurant suggestions.
